We spent two weeks with Stephane and Marie-Josée and we could not have had a better experience! Stephane and Marie-Josee are two kind, warm and genuine people. They were very welcoming and made us feel at home right from the beginning. Most of our days were spent working ‘sur la terre’. We did a diverse range of tasks during our stay including
… read more chopping branches and moving wood, installing cabinets, planting vegetables and fruit trees, creating heat boxes from aluminium cans and installing larger structures from the fallen wood in the forest. Stephane does an excellent job of ensuring the tasks each day are varied so the days are never long or tedious. Reuse is a key here where nothing goes to waste and you learn that everything can be used to create something else. Another job for us was tending to ‘les poules’ who became like pets for us and would follow us everywhere! We also learnt a lot of new delicious vegetarian recipes that we ate together over dinner. Stephane and Marie-Josee were also AMAZING in helping us practice our french. They were extremely patient and would always find a different manner to explain something if we didn’t understand the first time. We wish we could have stayed longer and look forward to seeing them both again in the future. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Micheal is a dedicated young man, showing will power and respect. He listens well and is proactive with the duties we asked him. He's a quiet fellow that is curious about many subjects and we had the peasure to work with him for more than three months.
Keep going bud!
Peace.

What can I say about Steph and Marie? They are beautiful and loving people, and they accommodated me in every way to make me feel like I was at home (which I was). I was working with Steph for about 3.5 months, and I really enjoyed the stay there, especially camping in nature, getting my hair burnt by the campfire (he he!), and spending time with
… read more Jacob. I learned a lot about building and living outdoors which was what I really wanted to do. Work was pretty simple, even when it came to hard manual labour. Hard and challenging work is a piece of cake for me. I can efficiently perform karate chops on them. Steph is a fantastic and laid back person who made the whole experience truly unforgettable. I immensely enjoyed my stay there, but wish it was longer. Going to miss them very much. Love and hugs. :blush:You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Stephane and Marie-Josée have been my first workaway hosts and they did everything, to make this experience as welcoming as possible. Working with Steph meant learning something new everyday and learning to find your own solutions at the same time. The tasks were very diversified, I could help planting and harvesting things in the private garden
… read more as well as on the farm but there were also some small building projects and sometimes I just helped them moving there stuff, because they just moved into a new house. The work with all the other people on the coop-farm was a lot of fun and very interesting. Together with some camping and campfires in the evenings, I can highly recommend this place.
Thank you for everything, Stephane and Marie, I will always remember you and this great experience! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
