We are a historical building in the heart of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Our goal this year is to develop a community space on the second floor and third floor. We would also like to make the space as green as possible including the development of rain water capture systems, urban gardens, and renewable energy systems. Carpenter / woodworker urgently needed.
Help with Eco project
Help in the house
Workawayers will have the opportunity to work in a historical building, learn from local agroecological farmers, language exchange, and enjoy Puerto Rican culture with the team.
Preferable to have experience in general construction, handyman work, sustainable building, woodwork / carpentry, and comfortable with pets.
We will be working on renovating the space on the second and third floors. We will be cleaning, organizing, as well as repairing some of the panels that separate the rooms. It would be great if we could also develop some eco projects like a rain-water systems, urban garden, or any ideas workawayers see that can potentially be done.
Carpenter / woodworker urgently needed. We have the materials just need the knowledge and expertise.
The accommodations include bedding, fan, cold-water showers, and mosquito nets. There will be a kitchen that workawayers can use (fridge, gas stove, table) to prepare meals.
We will provide workawayers with ingredients and foods that they can prepare in the fully equipped kitchen, including fresh organic vegetables and fruits from our agroecological farm!
