    Description

    Hi!

We are ideally looking for a single person to help from early/ mid March until the end of May which is our busy time of year. This role could also suit a couple if one half was happy to help in the garden / maintenance and with occasional driving.

This is a beautiful house and estate on the Surrey / West Sussex border just outside Chiddingfold in Surrey. We are about 50 mins from London on the train and 10 mins from our nearest town (Haslemere). Guildford is about 20mins drive.

The house is open for weddings most weekends. We have 25 acres of beautiful gardens that are open to the public with the teahouse open serving coffees, cakes and lunches.

This is a family run business. We're looking for a helper to join in and help, this will be mainly in the tea rooms, serving customers, making coffees and sandwiches, help also needed for getting ready for weddings moving furniture, stocking the bar etc and also about the house if required depending on how busy we are and what's going on!

We have dogs, horses, chickens and sheep on the estate, usually I look after them all but if I am away or you like animals you are welcome to help out!

Whilst the minimum hours to be worked would usually be 8 hours a day 5 days a week, there is an opportunity to do more work / paid overtime too. We can only accept workawayers who have a valid visa for work in the UK - please don't get in touch unless you already have this!

We pay the current UK min hourly wage, and the accommodation is an additional benefit.

You are responsible for your own food and shopping but are welcome to join us as well for a meal sometimes! The accommodation is a little flat above the house (sitting room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom) . You ideally need to be able to drive here as the nearest village is a couple of miles away, but there is a garage that is walkable for supplies and we have had workawayers who haven't been drivers before. Most important you do need to have a smiley, helpful character and be happy to muck in and get on with a lovely team of helpers here!

It’s a really beautiful place to live and work, we are located less than an hour from London on the train. We all work hard and have fun too. You meet some lovely people who visit us and see a family run business from the inside. I will also pay a good wage for your time and work.

  • Help

    Help

We have had workawayers before and they have been wonderful! I would love to either find an individual or possibly a couple to help from April until end of May.

It will manly involve helping the teahouse (serving teas, coffees, making sandwiches, clearing away etc) please let me know if any experience in kitchens or barista training, help also needed with getting the halls ready for the weddings (setting it up ready, moving tables and chairs and stocking / running the bar too occasionally)

We have a small full-time team of 5 people who help around the house, teahouse, farm and garden (and others during the garden opening time) so there are always people around and it all quite busy, so if you are not interested in a bit of hard work for a suitable wage please don't apply!

We pay the current UK min hourly wage, and the accommodation is an additional benefit.
