We are Alessia and Gianluca, and we are thrilled to open the doors of our home in beautiful Southern Italy through the Workaway program. Coming from creative backgrounds - Gianluca as a social media manager and Alessia as an art-loving graphic designer - we both share a passion for travel, discovering new cultures, and sharing meaningful experiences with people from around the world. Having had Workaway experiences elsewhere, we feel the desire to reciprocate the hospitality and offer a warm and inspiring environment for other travelers.
Our home is located in the picturesque village of Gagliato, in the province of Catanzaro, in Calabria. Here, you can immerse yourself in the everyday life of Southern Italy, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, ancient history, and rich traditions. Our welcoming community will make you feel right at home, while you have the opportunity to explore the natural and cultural beauties of the region.

Help
In exchange for our hospitality, we invite you to assist us with small maintenance tasks (painting, cleaning, etc) 3-4 hours a day, depending on the task. Additionally, if you are passionate about art or have any creative projects in mind, we would be happy to welcome you and collaborate with you to bring new artworks and decorations to life for our home.

Accommodation
Private Double room and bathroom on the first floor, we'll provide for breakfast and dinner, for lunch in working days you can help yourself from the kitchen. We are not vegetarians, but vegan and vegetarian are welcome.

What else ...
There's a lot to do around Gagliato, hiking in the surroundings hills. The sea is only 10 minutes away, we can give you a lift to the beach while on our way to work, there's a bus stop 2 minutes from home. During our free time, we would be delighted to accompany you on excursions to discover the enchanting surroundings, including the majestic mountains, the pristine beaches, and the charming nearby villages, such as the Sila National Park, the Tropea beaches, or the village of Badolato.
