Description
"After a long life traveling the world and many years spent in the Dominican Republic, I decided to return to Italy. Even though I'm not originally from Puglia, I chose to put down my roots in this land that I love.❤️ I have recently bought a small, traditional lamia, which I am dreaming of transforming into a peaceful sanctuary for fellow wanderers.🏡🪴
I am looking for volunteers who love artistic restoration🎨🖌️, historical preservation, and creative carpentry🔨🪚. If you have a passion for building, restoring, or creating with a touch of imagination, you are more than welcome here!
In exchange for your hands-on help, I offer a free stay in the beautiful Valle d'Itria, authentic cultural exchange, and plenty of local food and wine and an amazing see with beautifull beaches. Let's share skills, stories, and great meals together!"

I speak Italian and Spanish at the same level, but I'm good enought in English as well!!And happy to learn some other languages.
Accommodation
You can stay right in the lamia, surrounded by endless fields of olive trees, fig trees, and lemon groves.🌳🍋 If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, I can offer you a camping pitch under the amazin Apulian sky during the summer!⭐🌌. I can easily leave the lamia to you and sleep in a tent!!🏕️🐶👩💻
Would love to share meals together and go out to discover traditional dishes. Alternatively, I can provide groceries so that everyone can cook the food that suits them best.
There will also be evenings spent with friends at La Lamia, particularly dinners. You’ll therefore have the chance to learn how to prepare Italian dishes, including traditional ones such as ‘orecchiette’, and to sample locally produced wine and olive oil. And in the meantime, you can learn Italian, the tarantella and maybe even some Spanish with a few salsa and son songs!💃🥂🍷
What else ...
The lamia is located just two km from the town center. Nearby, you will find beautiful beaches⛱️🐠, charming historic villages, a lot of historical buildings as castles and "masseria"🏰, and a vibrant community network with some great projects that are including local food and wine (the Valle d'Itria is the most famous region for gastronomy!)🍇🍷🫒sustainable agricultural initiatives, social, holistic activities and much more🪷🧘♀️🙆!! In short, I offer you the opportunity to experience a vast cultural network and truly feel like a rela "local".

My animals / pets
Pippo (12 years)
I found Pippo when he wasn’t even two months old, lying on top of a mountain of rubble and rubbish bags in a rough part of the Dominican Republic where I was volunteering to help dogs. But I have also Perla and Lilly and they too have had a tough life on the streets: Perla from the Dominican Republic and Lilli from Puglia
