Description
We live in Victoria BC and have a rural property 30 minutes from town. It is a beautiful 54 acres nestled in parks - the ecosystems are diverse and include Canadian rain forest and riparian areas. We have acres of arbutus forest which is quite whimsical. It is used for nature school and some retreats. I personally am developing the gardens to feed my people and community. I would love help with growing food, restoring the land, and everything in between.
I have a family with two kids, a dog, two cats in my house in town. We are involved in caring for the land. There are a couple of people living on the rural property who are involved with the nature school.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are a multi-cultural and multifaith family, originally from Europe (I am French and Polish). We speak several languages. We may be able to learn together how to grow food better, and how to build a pizza over (my husband Allon will be doing this). The community at the rural property is seeped in ancestral skills like bow drill fire making and shelter making etc.
We are open to diverse folks!
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
We have a beautiful property north of Victoria, and we are setting up a homestead: garden help: planting, weeding, setting up structures for plants to grow, clean up; restoration: invasive species pulling, watering of new trees or setting up of irrigation (we have the water and the pipes in place); building a pizza oven, building new sheds, building a root cellar, etc etc
My family and I would come and stay at the property at the same time as the workaways and we would participate in the help and cook.

It would be great to have more French in my house for my kids!
Accommodation
It depends: Either loft in our house, or tenting/stay in big yurt/ bunkie on the property.
We will have food available for workers for them to cook for breakfast and lunch, and we hosts will prepare the dinners and share them with the workers. Some days we may share more meals.
What else ...
Best to have a car as the property is 30 min from our house and the closest bus line is 7 min drive, or to stay for most of the workaway time on the property, but we can give ride in and out of it, to town or to bus lines. The property is nestled in provincial partks.
