Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are a yoga teacher and a mountain leader, and we would love to share our passions with the Workawayer.
We like making bread, gardening, brewing beer at home, playing piano or ukulele, knitting, walking and camping in the mountains, and all kind of outdoor activities (climbing, skiing, hiking, paragliding). There will be as well possibilities to learn/speak French or Italian.
Since we are currently renovating an old barn in an eco-friendly way, the Workawayer could participate into this project and learn with us about, for example, building a tiled stove. The Workawayer could also help us, for example, in laying the wooden flooring or in making some furniture, and, of course, in gardening around the house. Regarding this point, if the Workawayer will be interested, she/he could learn permaculture techniques in gardening from our sister- and brother-in-law who partly use the garden to grow vegetables and aromatic herbs.

Help
We could host a WorkAwayer from April to June 2026.
During this period, we are looking for help on different tasks: light housework (prep meal, laundry, cleaning), gardening, help in renovating an old barn as our future house, and some baby-sitting (if needed, when children are not at school).
We have 2 daughters, Nina and Zelie. Regarding children, Nina, our oldest child, will turn 4 in August and is attending pre-school; while Zelie, our youngest child, is attending the nursery school.

I love to speak English. I learnt Portuguese in 2010 when I spent 5 months in Brazil, so I'd be happy to practice it again.
Accommodation
The Workawayer will have her/his own room, with private toilet and bathroom (with shower).
We will eat together for lunch and dinner. We are mainly vegetarian, we eat eggs and cheese, some fish from time to time.
What else ...
We are 15 minutes away by car from Bagnères-de-Luchon, where you can find all kind of services (supermarkets, library, cinema, shops, gym, café, thermal baths). The area is a great place for those who love outdoors activities (hiking, skiing, mountain bike, trail running, paragliding, climbing). You can actually start hiking straight from the front door :-)
We are 30 minutes away by car from the France-Spain border, perfect for short or long trips to visit Spain.
From Bagnères-de-Luchon, there are buses and trains connecting Luchon to Montréjeau (40min) and Toulouse (2h). From Toulouse, you can travel further in many directions, to the Mediterranen sea or to the ocean, to Paris or elsewhere.
