Description
Oz is a systems engineer who works from home and loves cultural exchange.
We are looking for volunteers to help with general home improvement and daily tasks. Activities include painting walls, basic repairs and patching, waterproofing help, garden watering and maintenance, as well as general house cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and keeping common areas tidy. No advanced skills are required, just a good attitude and willingness to help.
We live in Cholula (Puebla), inside a peaceful gated community just outside the city. Nearby, you’ll find shopping malls, restaurants, museums, and the famous Great Pyramid of Cholula — the largest pyramid in the Americas! You can also use our bicycle to explore the area or enjoy hiking and mountain biking at the nearby Zapotecas hill.
We are excited to welcome Workawayers who enjoy meeting new people, discovering local culture, and being part of fun and dynamic events!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will be an additional member of the family, so you'll get to know a typical Mexican family. You can have all your meals with us, or if you prefer, you can eat privately during your breaks. A bicycle will be at your disposal for exploring and getting to know the city. Additionally, I often socialize with friends and go to shopping malls, amusement parks, etc., and you are welcome to join us to continue discovering Mexico.

Help
Volunteers will help with general home improvement and daily tasks. Activities include painting walls, basic repairs and patching, waterproofing help, garden watering and maintenance, as well as general house cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and keeping common areas tidy. No advanced skills are required, just a good attitude and willingness to help.
We offer food and accommodation in exchange for up to 25 hours of help per week (4–5 hours per day, 5 days a week, with 2 days off). The schedule is flexible, and we can coordinate it around your other activities.

Accommodation
The accommodation is a three-floor house. On the lower floor there is a basement with a game room and TV, an office, and a room used for storage. On the second floor there is the entrance, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry area, and a full bathroom. On the top floor there is an office, three bedrooms, and two full bathrooms.
You will have your own private bedroom with a closet and a private bathroom. The house is in a quiet and safe gated community, next to a golf club and a hill where many people go for walks and hikes.
Meals are provided, and you can take what you need from the pantry.
What else ...
The area is perfect for walking and cycling. In addition, you can also visit the pyramids of Cholula and the church located on top of the pyramid; it's a magical place with a beautiful view of the entire city. Cholula hosts various celebrations throughout the year (fairs, markets, exchanges, cultural events, and much more), so you will always find something fun to do here. A little further away (thirty minutes by car) is Puebla, with various interesting areas to visit such as the forts (military constructions from the 1800s), many museums, a cultural center, and a plethora of activities.
Cholula has a small-town atmosphere but has 100,000 residents, while Puebla has a more modern vibe and has 1.5 million residents.
