    Description

We are a second generation hay farm in Yukon. We have 3 adult children that work full time off farm and my husband and I do most of the farm work ourselves on top of our full time jobs. We have a lovely home with amazing views of the mountains. Our farm is 196 acres and we currently have hay and turkey production. We also have 3 horses and 23 peacocks. We are only 20 minute drive from downtown Whitehorse.

We need someone to help manage the family needs. We are looking for someone who is interested in helping out with chores around the farm that is not directly related to any business.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Whitehorse has very active cultural groups. There are lots of things to do and see in our small town.

On our farm you will have the opportunity to learn about farming in the Yukon.

We are looking forward to meeting some hard working people that can share their skills and tell us about their country and customs.

    Help

My husband and I work full time and farm "full time". July and August are the busiest months and we could use some help. Even having someone staying with us that loves to cook would be fantastic. It is hard for us to keep up on the household chores when we are farming and thought it would be nice to provide someone with the farm life experience in one of Canadas most beautiful cities in exchange for some help around the house and the farm.

We would need help with household chores - feeding animals, cleaning and cooking. We would love someone that could operate equipment, but it is not necessary. Operating equipment like quads just helps with getting things done around the yard. We would need someone who can lift 50 pounds to help when we need to feed our horses. We are looking for someone to just give us a hand in our busy months of July and August. There is always lots to do around here!
