Description
Hello! My name is Anete, and I’d be delighted to host you in my home here in the Netherlands.
Originally from Latvia, I work as an election observer for the EU, which often takes me far from home. I’m always eager to explore the unknown, whether it’s seasons spent as a snowboarding instructor, election missions, or solo backpacking adventures. During my travels, I’ve cherished staying with locals, and now I’d love to offer that experience to someone else.
I live in Zeist, a charming town surrounded by parks and forests, where I keep my horse First Choice, just a 15-minute cycle from my house. I’m looking for someone comfortable around animals who can help care for them. In exchange, I offer cozy accommodation just 30 minutes from Amsterdam.
Zeist provides a perfect balance of suburban tranquility and accessibility to city life. The house is a 15-minute walk to the nearest grocery store and only a 10-minute bus ride to Utrecht, a vibrant and international student town. If you enjoy cycling, I also have a bike you can use to explore the Netherlands’ fantastic biking paths.
If you’re passionate about animals, enjoy spending time outdoors, and love a mix of quiet evenings and city adventures, I’d be thrilled to hear from you.Types of help and learning opportunities

Welcome to our modern, three-story home. You’ll enjoy your own private room with a comfortable single bed, nestled in a bright and welcoming house. Located near stunning parks and serene woodlands, it’s an ideal retreat for those who love the city-country feel.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a spacious, cozy kitchen-living area—a great spot to cook, relax, and unwind—along with a toilet. Step outside to a charming backyard, perfect for sunny BBQs, and a shed where you can safely store a bike or other belongings.
Your room is located on the second floor, along with the main bathroom featuring a shower-bath and a master bedroom. This floor also includes a handy storage room for extra items. The top floor is a versatile space where we do laundry and ironing. It also features my favorite part of the house: a bright, expansive office space. With two desks and plenty of light, it’s perfect for working or studying. Since I’m often away, you’ll usually have this space to yourself.
Throughout the house, you’ll enjoy excellent Wi-Fi connectivity, making it easy to stay connected whether you’re working, streaming, or keeping in touch with loved ones.
I’m quite busy during the week and don’t have much time for cooking, so you’ll need to take care of your own meals. That said, I’d love to occasionally share a dinner or takeout together. You’re also more than welcome to join me when I head into the city, play padel or go climbing, meet up with friends, or go on weekend trips.
I really enjoy connecting with people and spending time together, but since I work a lot, I appreciate having someone who is independent. The house has a reliable Wi-Fi connection, so feel free to bring your laptop, books, or anything else to keep yourself entertained during downtime.
If you’d like to explore nearby cities or do multiday trips, that’s totally fine—but let’s plan ahead to coordinate schedules.A little more information
