A grey cat, a small white dog, and a larger black dog stand at the doorway of a yellow house, surrounded by green plants and white flowers.
In a cozy garden at dusk, people relax under a blue umbrella with a dog, near a pond, in front of a warmly lit house with trees.
Four people sit around a cozy table by large windows, enjoying breakfast together. Sunlight streams in, snowy landscape outside, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere with rustic decor.
Two horses, one white and one black, stand peacefully beneath leafless trees on a frosty field at sunrise, creating a tranquil rural winter scene.

    Description

My wife and I have 4 children and live in a lovely farm in Nordby Bakker, close to the sea, with ponies, dogs, chickens, bees, kayaks, and a wooden sailboat.
I am gearing down as a veterinary surgeon on the island and want to shine up the property. I love our garden. It is divided into 3 parts: natural swimming pool, permaculture forest garden, and vegetable garden. This year I will focus less on being a vet and instead focus on the garden and the self sufficiency aspect of it, and improving my cooking skills, so we can have really delicious food! We have raised ponds in the courtyard, used for teaching fresh water biology. We have a wonderful stereo microscope for the purpose. Those ponds could also do with tidying up.
This year we are at least 3 people at home, my wife Tamsin, who works full time in the South of the island, our younger daughter Clementine, 22, who is taking a sabbatical, and myself. The remaining 3 children live nearby and visit often. I have owned a vet clinic in London and on the island.

You will be staying in one of our upstairs bedrooms, and joining in on all meals, and I hope you can spend 15-20 hours/week helping with the garden.

We live in a very beautiful and peaceful wild landscape, and are very interested in all the wildlife around us. If that appeals to you then I am sure you will fit in very well! If you are interested in wildlife, and gardening then I will very happily share knowledge along the way.

Tamsin is from England, but speaks Danish, and I am Danish but grew up in London. We all like riding and sailing. You can see more of the place on our website (please ask us for the link).

You are very welcome to join in sailing and horse riding. I will happily help / teach. Enjoying swimming would be useful trait, as we have both the pond in the garden, and a lovely sandy beach 500m from the house.
