I spent the better part of two months with Dick and Janet doing various chores and projects from cutting firewood to landscaping to organizing. They are two of the kindest people I've ever met, always inviting me to go hang out with friends, get food, see music, and hike. I stayed in their renovated above garage apartment with a full kitchen,

Inside the main house is a small home gym and privacy in the downstairs portion to watch TV, make phone calls, and scour the internet. Outside is a hot tub, small pond, and roughly 40 wooded acres along with a functional cabin that is in Montana's historical register. The house is an hour and a half from Columbia Falls which makes groceries and niceties a real chore and the rough road takes some getting used to, so be prepared for that. They have two pups who are as friendly as they are cute. I'm happy to call them friends and would recommend them to anyone who's interested. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

What a wonderful experience I had working for Dick and Janet, staying in a quaint 100-year-old homestead down the hill! Janet is a lovely cook and there were no issues with room and board. For 6 weeks, I trimmed evergreens to prevent wildfires, painted parts of their home, organized other areas of their land, watered the lawn, picked

Dick and Janet took us rafting twice, introduced us to their neighbors, friends, and family, and to more weekend excursions! Simply put, they showed me the way of off-grid living and how euphoric it can be. Best wishes to them, the town of Polebridge, and the great state of Montana! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Dick and Janet were great hosts and I had a wonderful time with them! I worked for them a little over a month helping with mostly weeding and painting, and they were very flexible with how I put in my hours, which allowed me to explore and hike the area. They love their area of the country and they do their best to help you love it too! They even
