Description
Hello travelers!
My name is Kenan, and I warmly welcome you to our farm in Doruklu Village, a quiet and beautiful spot nestled in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, just 20 km away from Mersin city center on Turkey’s Mediterranean side. After living and studying Mechanical Engineering in Poland for over 6 years, I decided to settled on this beautiful little farm with the dream of creating a life that’s both grounded and welcoming in Mersin, Turkey and start something that felt more connected to nature, simplicity, and community. That’s how kenan'sfarm was born in 2013, on a 20,000 m² piece of land that has slowly turned into a home, a project, and a lifestyle.
So far, we’ve hosted countless number of volunteers from all over the world—we share . Whether it’s sharing a cup of Turkish tea, preparing turkish food "mantı" together and selling them in the kitchen shop in city center, or feeding the animals, cleaning around and help everything about the farm. As our volunteer you will have a private or shared room in a clean and well structured place plus, we cook and eat together.
Today, the farm is home to 150 cows, 150 sheep, and one very loyal dog named Frank. We grow trees like almond, olive, and walnut, and every day here is a mix of hard work, peace, good food, shared laughs and fun. Also, we would be happy if you have social media skills as well. You can collaborate as you wish. How and what your skills can collaborate to us -- we are open to it.

Help
We need loads of positive and friendly energy to make this farm working well again! This energy can be used in many things and you will be free to express yourself in whatever you feel well.
We dont have a schedule for us, since at the moment we are making as much as we can to get the farm running. Plus, we dont expect from you to do the same amount of work as we do, but the average of 5 hours a day. (25h week)
Daily farm life routine & others:
• Feeding cows, sheep, chickens, and dogs
• Milking cows or supporting our people with animal care
• Collecting eggs
• Watering and maintaining trees
• Collecting stones and helping build dry stone walls
• Gardening and basic planting
• Cleaning animal areas
• Helping Kenan’s mother prepare food and learn about traditional Turkish cuisine
• Creating social media posts, stories, reels or whatever you can and you want to do!
You are also welcome to share your own skills and passions — whether it’s cooking, building, painting, social media posting or simply creating good energy. Hard work is always rewarded with great food, meaningful connections, and fun city nights!Languages
