    Description

We’re a family living on a 5-acre hobby farm on the stunning Coffs Coast, about halfway between Sydney and Brisbane. Our household includes mum (Del), grandmother (Annie), a lively 7-year-old daughter (Lucy), and an adventurous 5-year-old son (Blake).

Del works during the week and spends her weekends getting stuck into farm projects and spending time with the kids and animals. Annie is retired and always around to lend a hand or share a story. The kids are full of energy, curiosity, and love for farm life.

Our little farm is a haven for animal lovers. We currently share our space with alpacas, Australian mini goats, pygmy goats, a flock of chickens, three rescue cats, and three friendly dogs (a Labrador, a Cavoodle, and a Chihuahua). At certain times of the year, you’ll even find baby goats bouncing around the paddocks. We sometimes even have a koala hanging around that likes to call our property home.

We value kindness and a love for animals and nature. If you’re someone who enjoys farm life, doesn’t mind getting your hands dirty, and is happy to be part of a family-style setup, we’d love to welcome you.

We live adjacent to a State Forest with bountiful native wildlife

We live in a part of the world in close proximity to numerous beautiful natural sights.

We’re located in Bonville, a quiet rural area just 15 minutes from Coffs Harbour and 10 minutes from the beaches of Sawtell and Repton.

We're also close to Bonville Golf Resort, Bongil Bongil National Park, and great spots for bushwalking, mountain biking, kayaking and fishing.

    Help

We’re looking for friendly, animal-loving farm helpers who’d enjoy a peaceful break in our little slice of paradise on the Coffs Coast.

In exchange for 15 hours of help per week, we offer accommodation (no food supplied) in a cozy, self-contained studio with your own bathroom, Wi-Fi, and access to our mineral swimming pool.

The kind of help we need includes a mix of general farm and property maintenance tasks such as:

🌿Light gardening – weeding, pruning, mowing, edging

    🌿Fencing and basic repairs

🌿Painting and odd jobs around the property

🌿Animal care – refilling and cleaning water troughs, brushing and feeding goats, cleaning the chicken coop

The occasional cuddle with a goat or pat with a pup is always appreciated too!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Our property & house are strictly non-smoking and no drugs. We have young children and this is our family home and we lead a quiet life. We ask for kind and respectful people and if you have a good sense of humour all the better.

As shops and attractions are approximately 10-15 minutes drive you would need to have your own vehicle in order to stay with us.

Local Sights & Things to Do:

While you're here, you're perfectly placed to explore some of the Coffs Coast’s most beautiful and lesser-known gems. Whether you're after adventure, beach time, or a laid-back cafe crawl, Bonville is a great base.

    Nearby Beaches & Coastal Walks:
You’re just a short drive from some stunning, uncrowded beaches. Sawtell is a local favourite — great for a morning swim followed by coffee at one of its stylish cafes. Repton, Mylestom, and Urunga offer peaceful riverside and ocean spots, perfect for kayaking, fishing, or simply lazing with a good book.

    National Parks & Bushwalks:
Just down the road is Bongil Bongil National Park, home to forest trails, hidden picnic spots, and abundant birdlife. Bindarri National Park and Dorrigo National Park are also within day-trip distance, offering waterfalls, lush rainforest walks, and panoramic views.

Iconic Attractions (if you feel touristy):
There’s the Big Banana, but there’s also the Coffs Harbour Butterfly House, Muttonbird Island, and Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary (formerly Dolphin Marine Magic)
