  • Description

Looking for someone (we have a 16 year old daughter at home and are most comfortable with welcoming a single female) to come immediately -
Hello! Thank for checking out my profile. My name is Mary. I am a wife of 24 years and a mom to 3 great kids, ages 22,19 and 16. We are looking to host a single female at this time. My profession is an Occupational Therapist and my specialty is pediatrics. My passions have been buying and selling homes and home renovation. I ran my own healthcare business for 10 years, and am now seeking fulfillment in other areas. Travel is very important to me, and it was important to me to expose my children to other cultures and new adventures. I now only have my youngest home. I miss the years of raising my 3 children and all the conversations and hustle and bustle from them and their friends coming through. I welcome people to my home and I feel energized by those who step out of their comfort zones and dive into new experiences.

We live in a beautiful area of Long Island, NY. We are a 1 hour train ride from NYC. We live on the water, Northport Bay, and the sunrise and sunsets are magnificent. You can paddle board and kayak right out our back door. We have a family atmosphere to share with you. And many experiences can be had learning about Long Island and NYC. We can help you with your English if needed. And we would love to learn a second language if you speak one.

  • Help

I am having wrist surgery on both wrists in the beginning of October. I will be limited for 4 weeks with minimal use of both hands. I would love some help with my 16 year old and daily household tasks. Such tasks would include, making breakfast and lunch for my daughter for school. Driving, food shopping, helping with cooking dinner (we eat fairly simply and healthy), cleaning out sink, loading and emptying the dishwasher, watering the lawn, taking out garbage, weeding the front garden, carrying the laundry upstairs, feeding the dogs, perhaps taking them on a walk on the beach.
We also have a beautiful labradoodle and golden doodle who is full of spunk and love. They are both hypoallergenic dogs. We are looking for someone with a good energy and must have a positive attitude. We want to hear all about you and help you experience Long Island and NYC.

You will have your own bedroom. It is a full size bed. With a desk and small closet. This is my sons room, who is away at college. It is small and cozy. You will share a hallway bathroom with my daughter.

During your time off you can explore the water out back by paddle boarding or kayaking. You can go for bike rides and you can make local friends and possibly go boating. You can explore our quaint and historical village which is extremely safe. And you can hop the train and head to NYC to explore all of its magnificent sights. We have the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) for heading into NYC. We do have local busses, but I haven't ridden one since I was a kid. You have access to Uber as well.
