    Description

Welcome to our home in Langley — a peaceful 4-acre forested property just outside Vancouver. We live surrounded by forest, gardens, and animals, including pigeons, chickens, pheasants, other birds, and our friendly dog Forrest.

By profession, I am a Psychology professor at a local university, but my real passion lies in farming, animal care, outdoor living, and hands-on projects. There is always something interesting happening around the property, and we enjoy sharing the experience with people who appreciate nature, creativity, and practical work.

We regularly host family and friends, so the house is often lively and social. At the moment, current projects include expanding the chicken coop, developing a freeze-drying food preservation setup, maintaining the garden, and improving different areas of the property. There are also indoor opportunities such as furniture building, cooking, organizing, and various household projects depending on your interests and skills.

We value flexibility and collaboration — both in choosing projects and arranging work hours. We are happy to adapt tasks to people’s strengths and interests whenever possible.

Our place can also serve as a comfortable base for exploring Vancouver, Langley, and the surrounding mountains, forests, and coastline. We especially enjoy hosting curious, respectful, and self-motivated people who appreciate both nature and community life.
