    Description

Back into the wild! My husband and I always had the desire to live in the wilderness of Canada and save animals in need, providing them with a life they truly deserve. With our non-profit animal sanctuary located in Alberta at the base of the Rocky Mountains on 160 acres of land, our dream became reality. For many Years now, we welcomed wildlife orphans and rescue animals into our home and taken good care of them. As we’re not getting younger (71and 65years old), we do not have the capability anymore to take on new orphans. However, 9 horses, llamas, and donkeys have their forever home on our ranch. That means there is still a lot of work to do, animals to take care of, and miles of nature to explore. As an experienced rider, you also have the opportunity of horseback riding on some of the most fascinating trails in the area. Our Ranch is surrounded by the most stunning landscape the Rocky Mountains, you will have good chances to see grizzlies, black bears, cougars, wolf's and moose. Even our formerly rescued racoons and Piet the fox who occasionally come to say hello.
We are a German couple who moved to Canada about 30 years ago. As we have no paid staff, these young Volunteers are the backbone of our family, and we are grateful for everyone who appreciates and respects animals and mother earth as much as we do. So, if you consider yourself a hard-working, practically minded, freedom-seeking, and MOST IMPORTANTLY ANIMAL-LOVING individual, who is looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, our ranch is the place to be – It is a piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere and a paradise where memories of a lifetime are made and lifelong friendships are born.
