Description
Join our Hidden Paradise in the Mountains of Extremadura
We are Astrid and Sander, a Dutch couple who followed our hearts to a quiet hillside in Lanchuelas, Spain. Our home is a sanctuary surrounded by ancient cork oaks, fruit trees, and the sound of silence. We share this land with our chickens, friendly dogs, and an incredible variety of birds.
Life here is lived under the Milky Way (we’re in one of Europe’s darkest stargazing spots!) and off the beaten track. We are looking for like-minded people who love nature, animals, and the magic of outdoor living. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to contribute and experience the "Hobbit-feel" of our valley, you are more than welcome!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We love to do conversations that wil be deeper then :good morning, how are you doing.... the simple life without distraction in this area of Europe, invites you to be aware of what we really need. It attracts people who have a big heart for nature and want to contribute to preserve and take care of the land in a conscious way. We are part of a multi cultural little community area, with people from all different countries are connected and a lot of different initiatives can be visited. Portugese, Spanish, English, Dutch, German Asain, American, all cultures and languages are represented. And all share the love for nature and real silence, for the absence of highways and industry has a big impact. Think about yoga, naturewalks, climbing, but also natural wine making, all kind of handcrafts to learn if you would like to.On the other hand, the little village nearby, is really really Spanish life at core. Do you shopping in the morning, and the village is flooded with (mostly older) Spanish people doing their groceries and talking to each other, in the street, at the supermarket, everywhere you see and hear the Spanish way of living around, for there are hardly any tourists.
