    Description

    Hi hi,

My name is Jevan, I am researching and restoring lost ecosystems, inside me and outside me. Would you like to join? Let's have a call then:)

Please READ CAREFULLY and thoroughly before contacting me.

    CONTEXT
In this small property in the rural outskirts of Hyderabad, the main goal is to create a linear food forest somewhat mimicking the ancient ecosystem, ultimately turned into a barren land, thus colonized by innocent but invasive plants. The project started on sight the first days of June (2025). We cleared land from the invasive plants. We recently completed the fencing and gating, which provide security. I planted some 400 plants, I am taking care of them. I am working on the accomodation, the current main focus.

NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART
Accomodation as for now in tents. Each volunteer/couple will have a tent. Each tent is rather large, x2 people size. Each volunteer will have a camping mat and enough blankets.

    TO DOES
The next steps planned are completing the accomodation and facility, waterproofing the pond, continue on designing and implementing the ecosystemic restoration, planting, watering and similar.

More in detail, you will work on the accomodation implementation, eco-building domain. The accomodation design is a mix of traditional local tecniques and a modern pavillon/hangar-like design. A main space, structure of wooden poles, protection of palm-leaves mats (as from pics), will host tents and studio. Next will be designing and implementing a small compost-toilet, shower, kitchen, store room.

Next, designing and implementing the pond and pool waterproofing. You can, if you want, engage in studying, designing, planning stages. The task will employ natural methods.

Regarding the further step of ecosystem restoration and soil regeneration, we will take care of the soil, we will go to the near forest and study the flora. Few graftings and cuttings will be then planted into our farm, according to permaculture principles. We will keep taking good care of the new as well as existing plants in the farm.

Artists are welcome to contribute to the place with their arts. Paintings, installations, graffiti, we can discuss anything.

    FOOD
Food will be provided. We can discuss previously if we can accomodate any specific needs. Free-range diet is highly preferred, with some flexibility.

VIBE, GETTING THINGS DONE, GETTING ALONG
I like to enjoy a chilled but productive vibe. I believe we should welcome and express our emotions. When conflicts arise we can express our feelings. Eventually talking out tensions is welcome. I say things directly and frankly, at the same time trying to be delicate. We will remembered not for what we say, or do, rather for how we make one feel (quote). I would like the same from you.

I have an horizontal approach, we can collaborate, exchange inputs and ideas, decide together what to do and how, criticize constructively, learn from each other, spiritually and practically. But ultimately I am responsible for the property and the project I intend to pursue, means I have the last word, just to state the obvious.
I learned from Germans and North-Italians to have method in a project, both in small as well as big tasks. Time for planning together will be planned. You will see such method. Please try to adhere to it, improve or complement it.

    FARMING PRINCIPLES
I am inspired by Permaculture, regenerative agroforestry, agrosilvopastoral systems, food forest, market gardens, holistic management, biodynamic, indigeneous knowledge. Doors open to discuss to integrate other methods.
In many of these approaches I have some limited understanding, acquired as I was myself a volunteer for overall around a year in 4 farms, 3 in Italy and 1 in India. Plus experiencing such realms in other instances, including extensively in Tunisia and Trieste, Italy. As well as with indipendent study.

    EXPLICITLY ABOUT ME
I like to laugh, to cry, to dance, to watch fireflies, storms, waves, bonfires, enjoy music, arts, books, movies, observe people's faces and uniqueness, cuddle animals, connect with them, football, bouldering, rugby, exploring, adventures, traditions, spirituality, cuisine.

We should adapt to local costumes and social norms. I like open-minded people. I like proactive people. But if you have a doubt always ask me.

I was born and raised in Italy, I spent there most of my life. I spent many years focusing on school and volunteering, then working and university, learning languages, doing too many things. In my Master of Arts I realized some eye-opening things and my life, myself changed radically. In the last 4 or 5 years I have been freely studying, traveling, including 1 year overall in Tunisia, freely working (namely mainly teaching), introspecting, exploring, reflecting. I enjoy much this freedom overall, despite the many challenges.

I hold a bachelor in Economics University of Padua, Italy and a MA Philosophy, Politics & Economics, Witten/Herdecke University, Germany.

    PRACTICAL INFO
I don't love alarms and numbers. I wake up with the sun, I salute the sun, I often "meditate". You are welcome to join. I expect that in the first days you try to adapt to these rhythms. I sleep few hours after the sunset. When I sleep only the sounds of the animals are welcome. Strictly avoid ANY other sound.

I also prefer limitate drastically the use of smartphones when we are together.

There is no strict schedule. I like to rely on your sense of responsibility, your motivations, your enthusiasm for the project, your understanding of fairness. As for now it's monsoon season, so we will adapt to it.

Be respectful of others and others's things, to others' previous work. Everything has it purpose, every tool its specific function. Misusing can damage the tool. Tools should be maintained properly and last for long, means years and in some cases even decades.

A CLEAN AND NEAT SPACE IS MANDATORY. In all spaces. Keep things in order, not all around. Outside order is inside order.

    Time for oneself is holy.
You are not expected to help on Saturday and Sunday. If you want some different free day, example Friday instead of Saturday, we can agree on it.
Thursday morning will be devoted to a "reset", which means cleaning and similar.

There are few bus to come here, you get down on the main road and then is a 15 mins walk. I'll explain more in detail privately.

I use a scooter with which I occasionally can bring you where you want if needed, if not too far.

*The goats in the pic are not mine, just regular guests. As well as couple of friendly stray dogs.
