    Description

We live 9 minutes drive from Queenstown at Wilson Bay, loved for its walking tracks, mountain biking and swimming. We have a property which adjoins DOC land. For the past 20 years we have been creating large gardens of native NZ shrubs to help sustain our tuis and bellbirds. We have recently created a pond for the whistling tree frogs and enjoy their night time chorus. We need help with gardening; weeding and shifting plants, propagation of NZ natives and other plants by cuttings and division, wood stacking, mulching, staining wood and general household duties. We enjoy fresh seasonal organic food from the garden, sea and bush as Grant is a diver, hunter and fisherman. We are self employed, and create and sell jewellery at the Queenstown Saturday Market as well as selling Monica‘s watercolour artworks.

We have had helpers for the last 20 years to bring our property from a barren landscape to beautiful native NZ bush. We have planted thousands of plants which we have made from cuttings, seedlings, and division. We have a lovely self-contained unit that will be yours for the duration of your stay.

  • Help

    Help

We need help in keeping the gardens and property under control. Because of the size of our property and the hills around it, we need help from people who are used to physical labour. We will work with you when we can but at times you will be helping us independently.

    What else ...

Because of where we live having your own transport is important. There is no bus service here. We live at Wilson Bay, a very popular beach in Queenstown in summertime and well known for its walking tracks at each end of the bay and world class mountain biking.
