  • Description

    Hello! We’re Rosemary & Ethan.

We are a couple of four years who share a deep passion for sustainability, regenerative agriculture, tiny living, herbal remedies, meditation, community building and good, fresh food! We find ourselves happiest when we are exploring new places, meeting like-minded people, and getting our hands dirty in meaningful work. Our goal is to gather the skills, knowledge, and inspiration to one day start our own small permaculture-based family farm and business.

Rosemary- I am an Irish/American dual citizen with degrees in Environmental Ethics & Policy and Environmental Leadership. I currently work with Opal Creek Ancient Forest as an outdoor educator and expeditions guide, where I lead transformative wilderness experiences for students aged 10–17 in my beautiful home state of Oregon. I also run a small organic herbal tea business, sell at local farmers markets and am always excited to share my knowledge and products with others. I absolutely adore children and pets and consider myself to have a gift in working with both.

Ethan - I am a Business and Sustainability graduate with a passion for the outdoors. I run a forestry crew helping with wildfire prevention and sustainability. I am also a certified white water raft guide and a certified Sawyer. I hold experience in carpentry, farming, landscaping and farm to table cooking. I appreciate problem solving and putting my energy towards meaningful projects. I enjoy spending my time fishing, foraging and tending to the land.

We were both raised hard workers and love getting our hands dirty, building up ideas and creating lasting connections with our community. We are musical people who are always looking to jam and enjoy any form of art and creativity. We strive to nourish our bodies with fresh, sustainable food whenever possible and are both great cooks- Ethan has held several professional cook positions. If you have kids or pets we absolutely LOVE both and have plenty experience. After living and working in Corfu, Greece in 2022 with an amazing family running Sunrock Hotel, we are eager to find ourselves another work exchange opportunity that provides us experience, community and inspiration.

This January we are embarking on a journey to New Zealand with the intention of buying a campervan, working to expand our skills and knowledge and meeting amazing people along the way. We are so grateful that you have taken the time to read our profile and look forward to hearing from you if we look like a good match!
