    Description

I live in an old house in Coburg, upper Franconia, Bavaria, Germany. We have a lovely old town and a castle (Veste Coburg). In this area you can explore nature and many historical things. The UNESCO city Bamberg ist 45 minutes by car reachable. My son (18) is living part-time with me. Sometimes my daughter will also join us. Wholetime my cat Elias will be around you :) I can offer you a bike (or two...) and you will be able to taste many many beers, because in this region we have the most breweries per squaremeters in the world. I have an open house, so it is not unusual that people come and go. I would like to share my place and I need some help in my garden and cellar. In your spare time you can explore everything on your own or we can do some things together. You can get an own room with shared bathroom or can park your van on my ground - it´s up to the way you travel.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I have many games and some instruments (a grand piano, guitars) so we can make music together. Many years ago I practiced couch surfing and I am still in the mood to share my time with different people. Everyone is special and has something to give!

  • Help

    Help

Helping in the garden (only about 600squarmeters) by removing weeds, cut hedges... and maybe you have some ideas to improve my garden! My cellar needs also some ideas to become more tidy... Many screws, some tools you need often (or not). Broken things in boxes (maybe for repairing... I am a friend of reusing things instead of buying new) - there are much more things than I will ever need. Let´s have a look at them!
And if you are able to repair some bikes - come to Coburg!
    Sharing culture, language, experience
You can choose when you want to have your free-time (afternoon? morning?) and when you want to help me. We can decide it day by day.

I made the experience, that language is not all. It is more important, that people are interested in each other and Google Translate will surely help us! But I can teach you some German, if you are interested in...

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You can stay in an own room. If you have a sleeping bag (for a short stay) it´s easier, for a longer stay I can offer you blankets and pillows. In the room is a double bed. You will share the bathroom with me. If you travel with a van you can park it on my ground. You can get a bike most of the time (even if the city center is walkable). Depending on the day we can cook together lunch or dinner.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

I live in the center of Coburg. The main station and the city center (market place) are a 15 min walk away. I have a non-smoker house, but the balcony or garden is no problem. If you are traveling by Deutschlandticket the cities of Nürnberg and Erfurt, Bamberg and Würzburg are easy reachable for a day trip.If you are traveling by your own vehicle there are maaaaaany possibilities around Coburg for hiking and little beautiful villages.
