Description
We are a non-profit-making project in the process of creating a land-based venue for communal life in northern Tuscany. We have around an acre of land next to 50 miles of oak forested mountains behind us. We invite you to join us in manifesting this and becoming one of those who may choose from time to time to be part of this community we are creating.
We are Robin and Slawa, we spend a little under half of our time in the UK, looking after Robin's highly disabled daughter, and the rest of the time here. We are a married couple, very much committed to creating as rich and nourishing an environment for ourselves and for any friends who may wish to join us as and when they choose.
Robin is 73, English, a truck-driver from time to time, and a politician as well as his daughter's carer when in England. Slawa is 49, Polish, trained as an architect, and currently undertaking a wide range of personal growth work, including dance and the exploration of peak states. She gardens, is a buddhist, and very much aware of aesthetics.
We both travel when we can, recently to visit friends in and to explore Colombia. The outhouse we are building is modelled on a Colombian farmhouse. We are looking for people to join us from time to time and also for people who may wish to be more permanent residents here.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are trained in therapy, in Tai Chi and in various other therapeutic, massage and nutritional skills.
Help
We have a one bedroom cottage, we are building an outhouse for further accomodation and we will create more - in domes, teepees, and other low-impact dwellings. We plan to become as self-sufficient as possible. We wish to invite people to come and host their workshops here - art, therapy, dance, yoga, Tai Chi, energy workshops, healthy eating etc ...
We have a web-site you can take a look at: .
We can accommodate you and we can feed you. You then join in as much as you wish, from 3 hours a day upwards.Languages

We are happy to learn from you and to share our knowledge of languages.Accommodation
Accommodation may be in a bedroom, on a sofa-bed, in a tent, a dome, a teepee, or whatever you may choose to build here ... food will be nutritious vegan or vegetarian. We do not eat meat here and would like you not to eat any here too. We don't smoke and would like you not to. We do not favour recreational drugs, nor heavy drinking. We choose a healthy lifestyle and would like to share it with you.
What else ...
We are 5 miles from Bagni di Lucca, a simple and pleasant town, a bus-ride away. There is a theatre there and restaurants and bars. From there a bus and/or a train takes you to Lucca, a wonderfully beautiful walled town with every cultural need catered to. Pisa is then a further 45 minutes on the train. Around us here is exquisite walking country. Cycling is also popular. In winter, Abetone, an hour away, is a ski resort. The sea and a beach is an hour and a quarter away. Florence is two hours away, three by bus and train.
