  Hi! We're Daniel and Leah, and we live in the beautiful mountain town of Pemberton, BC, just 30 minutes north of Whistler. We recently moved into a newly built 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom townhome. Our twin boys are turning five this summer and will be starting French school in September.
  
  We're an active, easygoing family who loves skiing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, and spending time outdoors. Daniel is an engineer who works from home, and I'm an emergency nurse at our local hospital. At home we enjoy cooking and baking together, follow a healthy vegetarian diet, and love celebrating holidays with friends and family.
  
  We're looking for a kind, responsible, tidy and mature person to become part of our family and help support our boys as they begin school. The role includes childcare, speaking French with the boys through everyday conversation and play, and some light household help.
  
  The position is up to 25 hours per week, with a mix of some mornings and mostly after-school hours. We offer $450 CAD per month, plus private accommodation and meals. And we'll pay for any extra hours worked (if you are interestes :) You'll also likely have access to our family vehicle for driving the boys when needed and to use on some of your days off. Come spend the fall and winter ski season with us!! We have had such nice experiences with au pairs over the past 3 years.

  Pemberton and Whistler, BC, are the heart of outdoor adventure and a vibrant social scene. Known for world-class skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking, the area is perfect for active, nature-loving people. Beyond the trails, there’s a great nightlife with live music, great pubs, and plenty of events like the World Ski and Snowboard Festival, Crankworx, and Cornucopia. Whether you love skiing or enjoying the local scene, there’s always something fun and exciting happening year-round!

  Help

  Our boys are almost five and will be starting French school this September, so we're looking for someone who enjoys spending time with young children and is excited to help them grow in their new language. We'd love someone who can pick them up from school, read French books with them, chat and play in French, take them biking, to playgrounds, and on other outdoor adventures.
  
  The role also includes helping with a few evening routines, occasional bedtimes, light meal preparation, and light household tasks to help keep our home running smoothly.

  Accommodation

  You’ll have your own room, complete with a comfy bed, a new mattress, cozy bedding, and a closet. The bathroom comes with a tub and shower (our boys use the tub approx. 3 times per week, otherwise its all yours :)
  
  We are vegetarian and love eating fresh, local vegetables and fruits. Some of our favorite meals include soups, Buddha bowls, curries, tacos, and we have a pizza oven for our fun pizza nights!

  In your free time, you can enjoy skiing, mountain biking, exploring the trails, joining the gym, or relaxing at our local coffee shops. You can also meet new people through various activity groups, and we’ll help connect you with like-minded friends. Feel free to join us for movie nights, and you’re always welcome to join in on any holidays or trips we take during your time here. We’ll treat you like family.
