Description
During late autumn and winter, we welcome one Workawayer at a time to share our home. The help is just 2.5 hours per day, five days a week, leaving plenty of free time to explore or relax.
In return, we offer clean and comfortable accommodation, breakfast on working days, fast and unlimited internet, and a relaxed, home-from-home atmosphere where you’ll feel part of everyday life.
You’re very welcome to use our kitchen to prepare your own lunch and dinner.
We share our home with Koda, our friendly dog, and part of your role will be to take her for a one-hour walk on your workdays. So ideally, you’ll enjoy being around dogs. If you smoke, this probably isn’t the right place for you.
The minimum stay is two weeks.
Over the past 15 years, we’ve been lucky to host so many wonderful people. We’re truly grateful for all the help and kindness we’ve received, and we look forward to welcoming someone new.

What else ...
The Coromandel Peninsula is on the north-eastern coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Fabulous golden and white sand beaches with magnificent coastal scenery, a rugged forest cloaked interior waiting to be explored, are just some of the natural attractions that have people returning to The Coromandel time after time.
The Peninsula separates the Hauraki Gulf and coasts around Auckland from the Bay of Plenty. The Peninsula is a popular holiday destination and can get very busy during the summer months.
Local towns include Thames, Coromandel and Whitianga and Whangamata. Smaller settlements include Te Puru, Waiomu, Tapu, Colville, Whangapoua, Matarangi, Kuaotunu, Coroglen, Cooks Beach, Hahei, Hot Water Beach, Tairua and Pauanui.
