Description
Hallo-Howdy-Hola-Ciao-Γεια! We are Marina & Nikos, based in Crete/Greece and looking to host people (ideally two or three friends ) who enjoy being in nature to help us pick olives on our olive groves. We live in a hamlet on the north-west part of the island and can offer you accommodation and some shared meals.

It's the best way for you to deep-dive into Crete's unique culture, landscape, food & way of life after all the buzz from summer visitors has died down. Temperatures remain warm (ca 20 degrees) though you could get the occasional shower/rain every now and then. When the weather's wet, we do not work, just rest up and explore the area which is full of exciting places to discover!

Help
It's two jobs basically 1. laying net sheets underneath trees to be harvested -as soon as the olives have dropped on the net, use a big rake to separate olives from leaves and twigs, then pack the olives in boxes/crates 2. hold a long stick whose end is like a vibrating elastic comb to 'comb' tree branches from top to bottom so that olives drop on the net. You can try both roles during the day, sometimes it helps rest up certain body parts/muscles and do different moves - if you prefer one of the two roles though, no problem at all! We usually start at 8am and depending on how many hours you wish to work for, breaks will be 'built in' the schedule :-)

Studio with fully equipped kitchen, en suite bathroom with shower cabin. Bedroom includes one single and one double bed, a sofa bed and small wardrobe.

There is good WiFi connection though no desk/office area available, other than a kitchen table.
