In 2015, we found our dream property in Cardinot, Nova Friburgo—a 300,000 m² retreat at 1,200 meters altitude. Here, cool mountain air, perennial springs, panoramic views, safety, and accessible infrastructure come together in one of Brazil’s most beautiful regions. We’re just a short distance from Nova Friburgo, a vibrant town with everything you need.
We’re pioneers in sustainable building and community-focused living in Nova Friburgo, Brazil. Our mission is to live in harmony with nature, producing our own food and energy while regenerating the land for future generations. Every aspect of our project is designed with ecological balance, practical sustainability, and real community impact in mind.
What We Do
Sustainably build our homes and eco-lodges using bioconstruction and natural materials.
Grow organic food on-site, practicing regenerative farming techniques.
Generate our own energy through renewable sources and treat all waste onsite.
Develop social and environmental projects that benefit our community and our landscape.
Host eco-tourists in our lodges, offering locally grown food, outdoor activities, and educational workshops.

Join Our Journey
Over the past year, we’ve bio-constructed our first eco-lodges and are now ready to welcome volunteers who share our vision. Here, you’ll not only learn new skills—such as sustainable building, organic farming, and renewable energy—but also immerse yourself in Portuguese language and Brazilian culture. We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and offer flexible time commitments to fit your schedule.
We’re currently seeking passionate people with skills in architecture, bioconstruction coordination, and web development to help us grow. However, there are always many ways to contribute, whether it’s hands-on building, farming, teaching, or supporting our digital outreach.

Accommodation
We have two volunteer houses with 3 bedrooms each. The house has electricity, clean drinking water, a warm shower, washing machine, stove & hobs and free Wifi. Each bedroom is shared. Basic food is provided with a farm lunch on weekdays.
What else ...
Cardinot which is a rural village nearby Nova Friburgo is situated in the região serrana (1200 meters altitude) is and incredible location. It's beautiful mountains, creeks, waterfalls are excellent for those who love nature, peaceful environment and security.
You can do hikes, go fishing or just enjoy all the incredible flora and fauna. The local people are very friendly and are so interested in tourists and visitors. If you like sports, every Thursday, we play football in the neighborhood. There is a bus stop 500 meters from the volunteer house which can take you to Nova Friburgo in 45 minutes. Nova Friburgo has approximatly 200,000 inhabitants.
