I am Guru , running a Yoga Ashram (school) for 200 / 300 Hour yoga teacher training in Chiang Rai, Thailand.
We built a school for future yoga teachers, including the main house with several rooms, a yoga hall, huge kitchen for the guests, garden and so on. Partly this is finished, other elements still under construction.
There is a flexible number of guests staying with us and we employ two housekeepers/ kitchen helpers.
We are running a quiet, peaceful place and expect guests to respect our culture, the yogi way of life and the Thai indignity in general. Please consider we are not a party place of any sort.
Please consider we do not offer yoga lessons in exchange for volunteering!!!
You may use the ashram though when its not busy with class.
If you are interested in becoming a yoga teacher feel free to contact and we provide you with details instead.
We are vegetarian and serve vegetarian food only (you don't have to be vegetarian, we are totally fine with other lifestyles, but have to ask you not to have meat on the property) only in the market.
There is no smoking and drinking on the property (again, outside of the property you do what you want)
Our mother tongues are Thai and Hindi, our english is sufficient.
We welcome people from all over the world, basic skills in at least one of these languages we have to ask for.
We do not mind any religion, race, skin color or stuff like that. Every friendly and respectful human is welcome.
The area around Chiang Rai offers a lot of sightseeing, cultural and adventure attractions. Also we are close to the Golden Triangle with Laos and Myanmar. We probably have no time to show you around, but since you are adult you´ll be fine. And often people make friends with other guests and then go for trips together or just hang out at the scenic waterfall close to our place or visit the night market on Saturdays walking street market.

We combine thai and indian culture located in one of the most beautiful areas of thailand.
Also there are most times foreign guests for the yoga school from places all over the world.
We are not a laguage school, there is no cooking classes and no thai massage courses.
But still just by the way you might pick up a fortune of experience in dialoque with us and the guests, or study the thai culture exploring the area of Chiang Rai by yourself or with new friends you make at our place.
Since we live on and run a huge property and business we always need helping hands.
The yoga ashram (school) is still under construction and we want to set up more small buildings in the future.
Our website is still improving and we would love to have skilled help on that as well as with Article writing, online marketing and advertisement on Social Media skill, So if you are perhaps a web designer or simply know about it.....
There is always work in the office to maintain some official works as email reply and management for ashram, if you could help on it would be great.
Skills and experience in interior design would be amazing. Also painters/ artists are highly welcome, since we got a good piece of wall to get colorful!
There would be actual horticulture, as we would like to produce as much of our home grown, organic food as possible, but also sort of landscaping and help in general maintenance of the property would be highly appreciated.
Since we have a little son, we are also looking for a patient and warmhearted nanny to look for some hours after him. We educate him in any languages we speak, so you could talk in english, Thai or even Hindi to him.
Native English and experience would be best though.
Please, there is no yoga classes in exchange for volunteering but we highly recommend you to practice meditation everyday at Ashram !!
We host a maximum of 4 workawayers at a time.
We have a huge, clean four bed dorm provided for workawayers. Exceptionally there might be accomodation in a clayhouse or in a double guestroom at some times. All rooms are clean and save, there is hot water shower and western style toilets.
There are 2 to 3 meals a day, all you can eat and snacks and fruit always available. Drinking water is provided 24/7.
We can very well imagine hosting couples or small families.
You can take a bycicle for your explorings, we got several.
All other needs and expenses are yours.
We do not cover for your transfer, we do not offer paid work.
Please consider we are located in the tropics. Its hot most time of the year, sometimes its even hot at night.
Consider this when packing clothes, but there might also be chilly nights and we also ask you for "respectful" and descret clothing on our propety and in thailand in general, especially now since Rama 9s death.
We cannot host pets, although we like them :). We just have to consider that other guests might be frightened, have allergies or doubts about our hygienic standards.
We get up early and sleep early. Doesnt mean you also always have to, but please consider the climate again. Descent work is often only in the morning and evening hours possble, especially when working in the garden or in construction.
Bring moscito repellant and sunscreen. We do not provide these.
Our place is not dangerous over average ;), but there is natural animal life in the tropics like snakes and scorpios have been seen and sometimes streetdogs.
We need to ask you to be sufficiently covered with health and accident insurance, because we do not provide these!!!
We can pick you up at the airport, also dont mind though if you come by taxi. ;)
When contacting us please give us the following information at least:
- whats your name, age and occupation?
