    Description

Hi Workawayers, I am Daniel from Bogotá, Colombia. I studied Environmental engineer with a MSc in Rural Development. Also I am a yoga teacher and a good cooker who loves to connect with nature and who loves to support slow-grow culture and permaculture projects.

Right now I need a hand to start the construction of a 3-4 little cob dorms. They will be furnished with dry toilets, and a shower.
So I need a hand with the construction and also if you like taking care of organic plants, I have a couple that may need some advice to heal and continue the production. If you have any farm or construction knowledge or background, you are more than welcome to stay a couple of weeks.

This is a family project in a 5.200 square meter farm located in "la vereda La Moya" of Pacho town. At this moment, the farm has oranges, plantain, banana, avocados, guanabanos, some mangos, guayaba, pomarose, yuca, papaya, and lemon. Not all of them produce.. I need to improve the rain water collection and treatment - some filters and lagoons - So there could be an irrigation distribution pipe into the garden and in the future wanna have some chickens and hens to have my own egg production.

I am living in the farm and sometimes have to travel to Bogotá, so probably you may stay by yourself some couple of days.

The farm is 1 hour walk - 20 minutes bus from the town. And there are 2-3 buses every day to get to La vereda La Moya.

Hope to hear back from you !!!
    Saludos!

You will be able to interact with Colombian people who love nature. I am a Yoga teacher who practice daily (or almost daily) so we can do some yoga together, cook some vegetarian food, travel around Pacho spots and enjoy landscapes around the area.

We can exchange ideas, and experiences and help each other to live in a better world where all of us can live as a happy family!!!

    Help

Travellers who came here can help me: organizing the space, building some eco-buildings, dry toilets or seedbeds, also you can help me with gardening, farming, among other duties that the farm needs to be done. Not all is work, we can hike in the nearby areas so you can enjoy an amazing landscape full of mountains where some native indigenous used to live!

The project is really important for me and the environment itself because it's a beautiful and quiet spot. I am planning to live from the rent of the cob houses so I will work hard the first three months of this year to carry on with my project. Also, with this project I want to show locals how they can live in a friendly activity and have their "pancoger" or their "autonomy" over food so they can start their own vegetable garden and start growing a local organic market!
