URGENT LOOKING.. buscamos dos personas para ayudarnos con el cuidado de animales y plantas

We are looking for someone with masonry skills to begin a natural pool project.

We host for a minimum of two weeks unless you bring your own motorhome.

We are involved in bioconstruction, syntropy and permaculture. We could use a hand from people who know about carpentry, masonry, agriculture or livestock.

    Welcome to our corner!

There are currently three of us living in Pino Perdido:

    - Asun, (Spanish girl with whom you can communicate in both Spanish and English). Great nature enthusiast and new fan of syntropy.

    - Angy (Spanish girl with whom you can communicate in Spanish and just a little English) I have been in Pino Perdido for a short time and I am starting to manage the place together with Asun and Jonas. I love nature and learning from everything that surrounds me.

    - Jonas (un chico sueco que gestiona gran parte de Pino Perdido.

    The environment:

It is made up of a single 38,000-meter plot of land located next to the town of Olías, Málaga.
We are working on a glamping, a zoological center and on syntropy agroforestal tecnic.
Water is a very precious commodity, so we work hard not to waste it. The electricity we have is from solar panels, which we have to improve little by little, so charging mobile phones and necessary things will have to be done during the day.

One part of the land is intended for a glamping project. This part has a dome, a bus and 4 barrels. In which improvements are always welcome.

In another part of the land we are starting to form the zoological nucleus. In this we have cats, dogs, chickens, turkeys, a mare, a donkey, two sheep and two goats, all of them welcomed to try to give them a better life. From here we always have to increase and improve each environment.

The other part is where we live and do our day to day. The accommodations we offer are two tipis, one with a double mattress and the other with a single mattress and tents. Depending on needs, duration and number of volunteers, one or the other will be assigned.
We also have a main yurt that is used as a communal kitchen and dining room. This will contain the food needed to cook during the week. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, of which breakfast and dinner will be prepared separately, and lunch will be prepared from a weekly menu. Volunteers must take care of the kitchen and its subsequent cleaning, except in exceptional cases.

Bathroom: We have a shower with hot water. The toilet is a dry toilet or conpost toilet.

There is always work to do with irrigation, gardening, clearing, organizing, cleaning the animals' surroundings and feeding them, as well as green construction, repairs and creating new spaces.

There's always gardening to do- watering, weeding, picking, eating. Some time soon we'll need to put in a simple trickle irrigation system. We have a lot of light construction to do: current projects include building an outdoor kitchen, siting areas

Making terraces in the hillside is an ongoing process to provide space for gardening. A lot of this involves simple carpentry, which we would be happy to teach you about if it's not a skill you already have.

There can also be a lot of mouths to feed so help with cooking would also be welcomed!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We're fifteen minutes' walk from a little village with a few bars and shops, and five miles from the beach and a small town.

The centre of Málaga is just ten miles away, and there are regular buses. Málaga has a great range of cultural and leisure activities on offer- the Picasso, Thyssen and Pompidou museums, the Cervantes Theatre, Moorish, Roman and Renaissance architecture, and of course all the bars, restaurants and nightlife you would expect from a bustling student and tourist destination.

If you prefer life's quieter pleasures, we're surrounded by beautiful natural/cultivated hills which are very popular with determined local cyclists. The hills also provide a home to a wide variety of wildlife, from rabbits and vividly coloured grasshoppers to eagles and hawks.

We try to be environmentally friendly and would like our guests to respect that, but we also respect that everyone has their own perspective and approach.
