Description
It is a nice starting family farm, informed by Permaculture design and connected to the community and transition town initiative. We sometimes rent rooms for guests. It has a swimming pool, orchard, vegetable garden, chickens. It is located 15km away from the beach where we go regularly. It is located also by a nice forest and grazing areas. We have wifi. Volunteers can stay in the camp or in a room and have the access to the house and are welcome and integrated as part of the house dynamic. Feel welcome!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
This is a permaculture ecological and social family project and so there is plenty to learn and talk. We're also interested in learning from you. The region is super interesting due to its agro forestry but also due to the transition town and several initiatives that happen around and to which we are well connected and part of. We can also jam with music, play ultimate frisbie go to the beach, surf, cycle, dance, walk, etc. the beaches and nature here are incredible.
Help
We have always different and varied nice things to do to develop our organic permaculture farm and our house and guest hosting. You can help in the vegetable garden or the orchard or in improving spaces or eco building or cleaning or painting or even using your own skills.

Accommodation
All the year we provide you with a room and bed, toilet, hot shower, kitchen, internet, swimming pool, etc.. If too many guest are present and there are no rooms we provide you with a big tent with yoga matresses and sheets by the vegetable garden next to the house. We also provide food, breakfast, lunch and dinner :)
What else ...
Around you can have great walks or cycling. Also there are nice activities around. In the house we have instruments and can jam. 15km aways are great beaches. I have 2 kids so this a great space to have fun but also calm.
I am part of the local transition initiative and I like to help out the community so eventually you will have the opportunity to get involved in the community plant nursery or other events such as permablitz, etc . Regarding transports you can arrive from Lisbon or Faro by bus directly. We live 500m to the village of Sao Luis.
