Description
Hi! We’re a family of five with three children (7, 6, and 16 months) living on 12 acres in the Gold Coast hinterland. We are vegetarian, passionate about sustainability, and currently expanding our vegetable gardens and establishing a food forest style fruit orchard.
We’re primarily looking for someone to help with the 16 month old, help with household chores and gardening.
We are looking for someone who is Italian so that we can better connect with our Italian heritage and so that our children can learn Italian.
The area we live in is well known for its beautiful national parks, bush walks and waterholes. The beach is just 30 minutes away. The hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast is on our door step and the city of Brisbane is 1 hour away.Types of help and learning opportunities

At our place, you’ll have the chance to jump right into local life. We’re really involved in the community and would love for you to join us at local events.
If you’re into sustainability, I’m more than happy to share what I know about growing veggies, raising seeds, making sourdough, and preserving food.
We’re excited to welcome people from different cultures—it’s such a great way for us to learn, and for our kids to experience new perspectives and ways of life.Projects involving children

Help
We would love someone who speaks Italian and would be interested in teaching our children the basics in the language.
As our children are in school, these lessons would only be for an hour or less per day so with the remaining time we would like help with the toddler, garden and home based tasks.
This may include weeding, planting, mulching, sowing seeds, creating compost, harvesting and preserving food, basic house maintenance and cleaning.
My husband works from home and I am a stay at home mum. Sometimes we will work with you and sometimes we will expect you to work autonomously, but we will always be nearby if you need help.
If you are interested in sustainability and growing food I would be happy to share my knowledge. I have many years experience working on organic and biodynamic farms, growing mushrooms, baking sourdough and preserving food.Languages
