  Description

  We are a non-profit association in Lower Austria with the aim of building a kind of new self-sufficient village in the wild, beautiful Waldviertel through permaculture, wilderness culture, seminars on edible wild plants; currently 5 people live permanently on the club premises; we enjoy absolute peace, good air, a clear stream, a swimming pond, forest, meadows, starry nights, wild nature; our Vice President Jacob is a permaculture practitioner and student of Sepp and Josef Holzer and will offer courses and seminars as soon as all the buildings have been renovated; Philomena, the president of the association, will hold seminars on the effects of language on people and nature as well as guided tours and courses on self-sufficiency with edible wild plants.
  We have space for a small village - but we need people who design their living space here themselves. There are visions of a sculpture forest and that means we welcome artists to create it; Sculptures in the forest made of natural material.

  Wir sind ein gemeinnütziger Verein in Niederösterreich mit dem Ziel hier im wilden schönen Waldviertel durch Permakultur, Wildniskultur, Seminare zu essbaren Wildpflanzen eine Art Neues Autarkes Dorf zu errichten; derzeit leben dauerhaft 9 Menschen hier auf dem Vereins-Gelände; wir genießen hier absolute Ruhe, gute Luft, einen klaren Bach, einen Schwimmteich, Wald, Wiesen, sternklare Nächte, wilde Natur; unser Vizepräsident Jacob ist Permakultur-Praktiker und Schüler von Sepp und Josef Holzer und wird sobald alle Gebäude renoviert sind, Kurse und Seminare anbieten; Philomena, die Präsidentin des Vereins wird Seminare zur Wirkung von Sprache auf Mensch und Natur sowie Führungen und Kurse zu Selbstversorgung mit essbaren Wildpflanzen machen. Es gäbe bei uns Platz für ein kleines Dorf - jedoch brauchen wir dazu Menschen, die sich ihren Wohnraum hier selber gestalten. Es gibt Visionen von einem Skulpturen-Wald und das bedeutet, dass wir uns über Künstler freuen, die diesen gestalten; Skulpturen im Wald aus Natur-Material.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  The Waldviertel is a healthy, wild area with lots of forest and nature; near the Czech border on the "Green Belt" with wonderful mystical large stones everywhere; tourists also love the area for hiking, cross-country skiing or skiing in winter (a lift is very close); there are also spa houses here; in the nearby pretty medieval town there are events, music, theater; the guest with a car has an advantage, but even without a car we can take you wherever you want.

  Das Waldviertel ist eine gesunde wilde Gegend mit viel Wald, viel Natur; nahe der tschechischen Grenze am "Grünen Gürtel"mit wundersamen mystischen großen Steinen allüberall; auch Touristen lieben die Gegend zum Wandern, im Winter zum Langlaufen oder Skifahren (ein Lift ist ganz in der Nähe); es gibt auch Kurhäuser hier; in der nahegelegenen hübschen mittelalterlichen Stadt gibt es Veranstaltungen, Musik, Theater; der Gast mit Auto ist im Vorteil, aber auch ohne Auto können wir dich dorthin bringen, wo du möchtest.

  Help

  We naturally expect the guest to help on all projects that is currently underway; This can be, for example, help in coloring the rooms, sewing curtains, cleaning the rooms, doing gardening, collecting herbs and berries as well as preserving the collected food, but also feeding the chickens or mucking out the chicken coop; We ask for around 5 hours of help for food and lodging on 5 days. It would be nice if the guest spoke German.

  Vom Gast erwarten wir natürlich Mitarbeit bei allen Arbeiten, die gerade anfallen; das kann z.B. Hilfe beim Ausmalen der Räume, beim Nähen von Gardinen, beim Saubermachen der Räume, bei sämtlichen Gartenarbeiten, beim Sammeln von Kräutern und Beeren sein sowie auch beim Konservieren des Gesammelten aber auch beim Füttern der Hühner oder beim Ausmisten des Hühnerstalles; Wir erwarten für Kost und Logis cirka 5 Stunden Hilfe an mindestens 5 Tagen. Es wäre schön, wenn der Gast deutsch sprechen würde.

  Accommodation

  1 room with shower and toilet in the seminar house. In the seminar house there is a kitchen where the guest can cook something himself if necessary; on request we like to eat together at least once a day.

  1 Zimmer mit Dusche und WC im Seminarhaus. Im Seminarhaus gibt es eine Küche, wo der Gast sich gegebenenfall selber etwas Kochen kann; auf Wunsch essen wir aber auch gerne zumindest 1 x am Tag zusammen.

  What else ...

  The main thing here is to explore and enjoy nature at leisure; there are many wonderful hiking trails; in Weitra, 10 minutes from us, there is a castle with a museum and cultural events; the Nebelstein is not far from here and an exciting health and fitness path is also nearby;

  Hauptsächlich ist hier in der Freizeit die Natur zu erforschen und zu genießen; es gibt vielfältige wunderschöne Wanderwege; in Weitra, 10 Minuten von uns, gibt es ein Schloß mit Museum und immer wieder kulturellen Veranstaltungen; der Nebelstein ist nicht weit von hier und ein spannender Gesundheits- und Fitness-Pfad ist auch in der Nähe;
