Description
Hi , My name is Brian and my daughter's name is Sofia (18)
We live close to the beach and the mountains in Kerry, Ireland. Kerry has some of the most dramatic landscapes in Ireland.
We am looking for someone to be company for my daugther who is an only child. Sofia is very outgoing once she gets to know people but shy at the begining.
Sofia attends a special needs school as she is a slow learner.
I would like for someone to help her learn simple household chores and to go for nature walks, crafts and art, etc.
We have already had two live in guests from the USA which has been a wonderful experience.
Sofia is still in school and only get home at 4pm which means our guests have a lot of time to them selves to follow their own interests.
We are superbly located for someone who likes the outdoors and nature.
Sofia is starting to play golf so someone who likes golf would be a great plus.
We also have a boat and in the spring and summer, we love going on day trips to beaches and to see the dolphins.
My daughter's mother, Emilie, is Swedish and she and I are very friendly and helpful to each other even though we live apart. Emilie also lives in Kerry close to us and runs a bakery/cafe.
I have travelled extesively in Europe & Venezuela . I have also been to Ukraine on 3 occassions in the last two years on humanitarian missions.
While the room shown has a single bed, a second room is also available.
Finally, in June 2026 I am going on a hiking trip in the Picos de Europa so there will be plenty of hiking in the mountain near to where we lice over the next 6 months in preparation for the June trip.

Sofia was born in France and lived there until she was 10. I have lived in Madrid 5 years and Paris for 20 years and speak both French and Spanish. Sofia also speaks French. That being said we are both Irish and would love to share this beautiful corner of Ireland with our guests. If you are someone who loves the outdoors, Kerry is as good a playground as you could imagine.

Help
As I mentioned in the profile, we are looking for someone who would be interested in sharing time with Sofia , to show her arts and crafts, to have chats and to go for walks and we also have two dogs so also walking the dogs. Sofia is completely automonous when it comes to her personal care.

Accommodation
The guest will have their own ensuite bedroom plus their own sitting room.
Regarding food, we have just put in a new kitchen and are, therefore, very excited about cooking and baking. Generally breakfast and lunch is whatever you prefer to eat and then evening meals we eat together. We often have pancakes and fruit for breakfast. As we also own the local bakery we have fresh sourdough available all of the time. I enjoy cooking so I often cook the evening meals .

For someone who enjoys the outdoors, we live in an outdoors wonderland. Mountains, beaches, rivers, walks, etc
