  !!! Urgent help needed - around the house and sometimes with kids (age 5 and 7)!!! Staying in a co-work/ yoga studio, you will have your own private room.
  -- I, Harmke, will go travel from beginning march till end of March and Michaël, my husband, will need some help in and around our new family house, with the kids, and with fixing up some things in and around the wooden house where we used to live in. Cooking, shopping, joining me and the kids to the beach, taking them for some playtime on the soccer field or skate park etc.--
  
  Hey there! We're family of five residing in the breathtaking surfers' village of Sagres, considered the surfing jewel of Europe. Meet Michael (42), me (36), and our two adorable kids, Samadhi (7) and Bodhi (5). Of course, we can't forget our beloved companions, Kiwi the cat and Morris the dog. What makes our family even more exciting is that we run our own online company, and organize retreats here in this remarkable area. If you love children, enjoy surfing, nature, and value a simple, healthy lifestyle, joining our family will be an absolute dream come true!
  
  Once upon a time, yoga and meditation held a special place in our lives. Though they remain important, we must admit that since the arrival of our little ones, life has become wonderfully busy. Our children attend school in the village from 9 AM to 3PM, and the afternoons are filled with playtime in and around the house, and beach or forest walks with the dog. Regarding hobbies, Michael is an avid surfer who also enjoys wing-foiling and playing various musical instruments like the handpan, Native American flute, guitar, and piano. As for me, Harmke, you'll often find me on the beach, indulging in occasional surf sessions or working out or boxing. Oh, and let's not forget our shared love for good food, coffee, a nice glass of wine and a bonfire in the garden. It's the little things that make life extra special, right?
  
  We initially embraced a nomadic lifestyle, residing in a campervan when we first arrived in the Algarve. However, after the birth of our girl Sami in Autumn '17, we settled into a cozy wooden house, where we've created a warm and inviting home for our family. We're currently finished constructing a brand-new family haven at the rear of our property. Just a short drive from our home, you'll discover Europe's most magnificent surf beaches. Imagine being surrounded by the awe-inspiring Costa Vicentina Nature Reserve, where the South Coast beaches beckon with their beauty, and the West Coast reveals its dramatic black cliffs and legendary surf spots. It's a slice of paradise waiting to be explored and cherished.

  Au Pair/Nanny & House Help in Sagres (Surfers' Village on the South/West Coast of Portugal, Algarve)
  
  The longer you decide to join our family, the more incredible the experience will be! Our kids absolutely adore connecting with someone who becomes a part of our family for an extended period, and for us, it's truly special to have you by our side.
  
  We are in search of an individual with experience caring for little ones who is also comfortable assisting with various tasks around the house. We love taking the kids to the beach frequently, and we might ask for your help there. Alternatively, we might request your assistance with cooking, laundry, shopping, or simply engaging with the kids in and around the house.
  
  What we have in store for you:
  - Experience: You'll have the chance to borrow a surfboard, play with the kids on the beach, and embrace our peaceful, healthy, and joyful family beach life. (Though let's be honest, the kids aren't always joyful, so your creativity in distracting them during squabbles will be much appreciated! 😉)
  - Meals: If we mutually agree that you'll be a part of our family for a while, you'll enjoy three meals a day with us (in exchange for helping us for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week). However, if we decide not to eat together on occasion (which is also perfectly fine), you have a kitchen in the house where you will stay so you can prepare your own food.
  - Expectations: We value honesty, a positive outlook, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of our kids. We rely on your ability to take responsibility, fostering a sense of mutual trust and support. It's essential that you can handle tasks independently.
  - What we don't want: We kindly request that you refrain from coming home noisy, intoxicated, or being lazy and untidy. We're a family, and while we encourage you to go out, have fun, and enjoy yourself, we prefer to keep the mess outside of our home. 😉 Additionally, we appreciate having some private time, so we will set aside certain evenings not to eat together.
  - Accommodation: You'll have a cozy stay in our wooden house. We might use the living room in the day time for work / yoga ocassionally, and Michae has an office in one of the rooms of the wooden house, but you will have your own bedroom, and outside of working hours we won't use any of the spaces so the living room, bathroom and kitchen are totally yours. The wooden house is located on the same property as our new family villa.
  
  We truly believe that your time with us will be enriching and unforgettable. So, if you're ready for an amazing adventure as an au pair and house helper in the captivating village of Sagres, we can't wait to welcome you into our warm and loving family!

  Accommodation

  Own room in spacious wooden garden house on our property. During the day time, we might use the office room and the living room in the wooden house for work, but morning/evening/night the whole house is yours. There is also a kitchen and a bathroom for you in the wooden house of course.
  
  We're located just a few kilometers from beautiful beaches, some within a scenic 15-minute nature walk. In the village, you'll find charming cafes, restaurants, bars (both local and more European), and surf shops. A big supermarket is a convenient 5-minute walk from our house.
