Sara was the best workaway we ever had. She is polite, proffessional, always helpful, caring and no job was too much for her despite the business during the summer. She is one of the kindest people I ever met. She stayed with us 4 weeks in July. She looked after our 6 year old son a bit but also helped with the day to day tasks around the house e.
… read more g. food shopping, preparation of meals, tidying cupboards, hoovering, reorganization of wardrobes. Sara cooked tasty italian pasta dishes and she also helped a bit with design work on Canva. She has a great eye for detail and I could see that her usual work in the fashion world suits her so well. I would highly recommend her to any other host. We miss her a lot

Anna is an excellent workawayer. She has very good cooking skills and was running the kitchen like a chef. She helped in the house with various projects. She reorganized all my office stuff including folders within a few hours and everything was so organized and tidy afterwards. I was blown away. She also looked after our son and did a lot of arts
… read more and crafts with him. She has great IT skills. She was brilliant in helping us to organize a children's birthday party. She helped with the cooking, baking, decorating and also played with the children. She was fantastic and the birthday party would not have been the same without her help. I would highly recommend her to any host family.

I stayed with the family 5 weeks from December 2021 till the middle of January 2022 in their beautiful home near Killarney. The Family is all in all very friendly, communicative, helpful and you had the feeling of being part of the family. Paula stayed with us for nearly 7 weeks. She was helping out with everything and no job was too much for her. She has excellent cooking skills and cooked lovely vegetarian dishes for us. She knows how to look after children. We would recommend her to any other host family and do miss her. Our son is still refering to Paula s room :-)

I stayed with Sabine, John and Thomas for almost 7 weeks (2 of which were self isolation in their old house). The work was very diverse (which made it a lot more enjoyable). Sabine may have very high expectations (which she will warn you of in advance) but she also has very high standards in what she will offer you. There was always good food in the house, she organised a trip to the gap of dunloe and one to cork for me and was always caring. She also took me to the beach with herself and Thomas. Sabine is very clear in what she expects you to do and will explain everything in detail.
I am going to miss them a lot, especially listening to Thomas’s stories.

Lucie stayed with us for over 3 months. She was excellent. We have always a very busy schedule but she managed to get all tasks done even on very hectic days. She is extremely organised, proffessional, tidy and reliable. We could give her any job and she managed to get it sorted, no matter if it was a maintenance, household or office job e. g.
… read more installation of magnetic locks, writing invoices, making dinner plans or reorganizing drawers in our kitchen.
She cooked every day a delicous vegetarian dish and she did once a week a sweet treat for snacking. We loved all her dishes. She made great meal suggestions for the whole family.
She was sometimes looking after our baby boy. He was enchanted by her calm and friendly nature and never cried when Lucie was around him.
Lucie will be a great benefit to any host, we could not recommend her enough. We are sorry that she is leaving.

I spent three months with Sabine and her little family even though I only planned on staying for about six weeks. I had a wonderful time!!! … read more and appreciated and integrated. The house is tidy and clean (if you do your part ;)), something I was looking for.
You don‘t have to do a lot of childcare and no changing nappies or bringing Thomas to bed, so just the easy stuff. He is really cute and nice to play with.
The work in the office was mostly very easy and gave an interesting insight in the tourism business. I worked a few hours extra which Sabine Paid.
If I didn’t want to do anything I could just tell Sabine, so don’t worry ;) What was especially remarkable is that I never got bored or too overwhelmed by work.
Killarney is a wonderful town. You’ve got everything you need only ten minutes by foot away: pubs, restaurants, a cinema and quite a few shops. The national park is breathtaking with its lakes and mountains and enchanted little trails. There is a lot of time to explore the surroundings like the beautiful ring of Kerry, the national park, the coastline or to visit other towns like Tralee or Dingle.
I recommend Sabine’s family if you’re looking for exploring Ireland’s southwest and different tasks from day to day and a lovely family to live with.You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I stayed three month with Sabine. It was a wonderful time. Killarney is a lovely city and the national park is beautiful. Sabine lives with her son Thomas in a nice little house in Killarney. … read more in the best way possible. You'll work five hours a day (Monday to Friday) but every day is different so it's never boring. In your freetime you can do a lot of different things. Killarney has a lot to offer, so you could go to the city or for a walk in the national park. The landscape and the national park are impressing and give the opportunity to go for hike or a bicycletour.
