Description
Demi Au Pair Wanted - Mid June - October
We’re an open-minded, creative family living a natural lifestyle, seeking someone who values freedom, connection, and conscious living. I’m a solo professional mum raising two amazing kids in a relaxed, alternative household. We use forest school, spend time in nature, cook wholefoods, and approach life with curiosity and kindness. Our home is filled with books, home grown vegetables, music, art, and lots of laughter. If you’re grounded, love kids, and enjoy a slower, intentional way of living, we’d love to meet you!
The Exchange:
Monday 5.30am 9.00am + 3.15pm - 5.45pm
Tuesday 6.00am 9.00am + 3.15pm - 5.15pm
Wednesday 6.00am 8.00am
Thursday 6.00am 9.00am
Friday Off
Saturday Off
Sunday Off
The 16 hours above covers the cost of your room, food, bills, wifi and access to a car for personal use. For couples we can adapt the exchange to cater for the additional person.
If you would like paid work in addition to the cultural exchange, we can provide 7-10 hours a week to support with additional things at home (tidying kids rooms, folding washing, putting toys away, and fortnightly babysitting) $210-$300 per week.
Experience with Neurodivergent kids highly regarded as is study or experience in education, support work or psychology but not essential. Temperament and attitude are everything!
About Our Family:
I’m a work-from-home mum (3 days/week at home 1-2 days in Sydney), and we have a fun, friendly household with my 6-year-old daughter (in school) and 5-year-old son (in school)
Our home is lively, creative, and supportive – you won’t be alone with the kids all day, every day.
About the Kids:
Energetic, happy, funny, and affectionate
Love crafts, art, and helping in the kitchen
Enjoy outdoor adventures – beach, playgrounds, gardens, etc.
Neurodivergent & highly creative – they adore their au pairs!
Normal sibling dynamics (yes, they fight and play rough sometimes!) – we need someone patient who won’t be easily rattled.
A Great Fit for You If:
✔ You love being outdoors and are happy to take the kids on fun adventures
✔ You’re calm, patient, and nurturing
✔vegetarian / love whole foods – we cook healthy meals and cater for meat eaters or vego!
We’d love to welcome you into our family! You’re always welcome to join meals with us, and if you’d like, you can also be part of our family activities.

I had the pleasure to stay with them for 4 months, and it has been the best time I could ever ask for.
Bec and I became soon close friends, she supported me while I adapted to my new life in Australia, and I am very grateful for her being in my life now.
