Description
Welcome to Wadi Rum! We are a local Bedouin desert camp who offers camping and jeep tour experiences to our guests. An adventurer's paradise, Wadi Rum is a crown jewel of Jordan's ancient desert. Explore the rugged landscape from the back of a Jeep, ride a camel, or take a hike: no matter how you go, you won't be disappointed by this remote wonderland.
Besides myself, who is the owner, we have three other members of staff, one cook, one cleaner and a driver for the desert jeep tours we offer. You will be welcomed into our team to help with our platforms and various desert tours.

Getting to know our culture and experiencing the desert lifestyle with limited access to the internet. Learn how to live on the bare minimum with water and electricity. You will understand the rhythm of the desert from the inside.
Wadi Rum has much to offer! Explore our many rich historical sites from ancient petroglyphs to the home of Lawrence of Arabia. Climb fantastical landscapes and look out at the stunning views of Wadi Rum often used as filming locations for films such as Dune, Martian, Star Wars etc.
Since we don't speak a lot of English, you will also emerge in an Arabic spoken environment perfect for practising your language skills or learning a new language.
Help
As a lot of camps in the area, we organize tours in the desert and host people and tourist groups. We mainly need someone who can help with replying to emails, keep our online accounts up to date, some general knowledge about mails and social platforms are necessary. We are also open for suggestions so if you have any good ideas we'll be very happy :)

Accommodation
You will be hosted as a guest in a nice little house of the camp. So you have your privacy, electricity and access to the facilities.
We provide classic big breakfast and dinner, you will enjoy some nice local food prepared by our chef :)
What else ...
The days are relaxed for volunteers, so you will have a lot of free time. Take books with you. It will be a good moment ;)
You will be in the desert, so you will be able to explore the area.
When there is free space for the tours you can hop on for free !
For transportation, the easiest is if you come until the entry of the village (tourist center) and we will pick you up from there to bring you to the camp.
