    Description

Hello and welcome to our profile!

Feel at home with us and become a cherished member of our family.

We are a warm and friendly family living in a large, newly built house in the Paris region, in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois. We have two young children: a 5-month-old baby and a joyful, sociable 4-year-old boy.
We would be delighted to welcome a Workawayer who wishes to share our daily life, discover a new culture, and offer a little support with child-related tasks in a calm, positive family environment.

Our intention is simple: to create a meaningful, respectful and enjoyable cultural exchange. We are looking for someone kind and patient, who enjoys spending time with children and taking part in family life. We will be here to help you settle in, understand transport, discover the area and feel comfortable in your new home.

We are a caring and mindful family, deeply committed to positive and non-violent education. We believe that a child is a whole person — not a “half-person” — and that they deserve to be guided with respect, gentleness, and consideration. For us, this approach is the path toward a more peaceful and humane future, and we put a lot of energy into living these values every day.

Our eldest, who is four years old, is a highly sensitive child. He needs clear boundaries, while also having his emotions supported with calm, empathy, and kind firmness. We do our best to find this delicate balance each day: setting limits without harshness, supporting his frustrations without giving in to everything. It is a demanding journey, but one we walk with commitment — and we are looking for someone who shares this philosophy and these educational values.

Our youngest, still a baby (5 months), is in full development and needs presence, security, and tenderness. We try to offer both our children an environment that is rich, sensitive, and respectful of their rhythm.

Because our children are young, we prefer welcoming Workawayers who wish to stay for several months. This gives them the time to adapt, build real trust, and feel comfortable in their environment.

Finally — and we apologize to the men — we currently host only women. This is not a matter of exclusion, but simply what feels most appropriate for our family at this stage.

Please note that this is not an au pair contract but a “housing in exchange for service” arrangement.
Accommodation, meals and laundry are offered as part of a friendly and balanced exchange.

⭐ What kind of help we need

The help is light, simple and flexible, always done together with a parent and in a collaborative spirit. It mainly includes:
    • playing with our 4-year-old (crafts, games, outdoor play, biking, park outings…)
    • helping with small everyday routines
    • being a gentle presence while we cook or take care of the baby
    • joining us on family outings from time to time
    • occasional short babysitting if we go out for a quick dinner

The idea is simply to share good moments with us and offer a little support in the flow of daily life.

    🎓 Great location for students

    Several campuses are easily accessible:
    • University of Évry–Paris-Saclay
    • nearby IUT and university branches (Brétigny, Juvisy…)
    • Paris-Saclay (Palaiseau, Saclay)
    • all Paris universities via direct RER access

It’s an ideal setup if you want to study while living in a warm and stable family environment.

    💛 Our lifestyle & interests

We love nature outings, forest walks, visiting monuments, castles and museums, and going on bike rides.
At home, we enjoy cooking, crafting, playing outdoors and trying new ideas.
Screens are very limited: our son watches a cartoon only twice a week.

We often take part in local events and regularly host friends and family. You are welcome to join us if you wish, and depending on how things go, you may also come along on some weekend trips or holidays.

🌈 Why you will enjoy staying with us
    • a warm, respectful and open-minded family
    • a comfortable private bedroom
    • a calm, pleasant home atmosphere
    • easy access to Paris and university campuses
    • light, reasonable help in a relaxed environment
    • a meaningful human and cultural exchange
    • support and guidance during your stay in France
    • a simple, joyful and sharing-oriented family life

We would be very happy to welcome someone for several months and to create a positive and enriching experience together.

Feel free to send us a message — we’d love to get to know you! ✨

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Staying with us offers a real cultural exchange. You will experience everyday French family life, discover our traditions, food, language, and way of living. We love sharing our culture and are just as excited to learn about yours—your language, habits, recipes, music, and stories.

You will have many opportunities to practice French naturally in daily conversations, with the children and with us. We are patient and happy to help you improve your language skills.

During your stay, you can learn about French cuisine (we cook a lot!), local family customs, educational approaches with young children, and life in a suburban town close to Paris. You may also join us for outings, cultural visits, nature walks, and even occasional weekend trips, depending on how things go.

We believe that both sides learn from each other, and we look forward to creating a warm and meaningful cultural exchange.

  • Help

    Help

We mainly welcome help with our two young children in a gentle, fun and supportive way. The help is light and always done together with us, not in full responsibility. (Except for an occasional babysitting when Mum and Dad go out for a dinner. This would remain very occasional, and only if everyone feels comfortable and confident.)

    Your tasks may include:
    • Playing with our 4-year-old boy (crafts, drawing, games, outdoor play, biking, reading stories, simple learning activities).
    • Helping with small daily routines:
    • tidying toys,
    • setting the table,
    • helping him wash his hands,
    • supporting us during bath time.
    • Being a kind presence when we are busy with the baby (no full baby care required).
    • Occasionally accompanying us on family outings to parks, forests, playgrounds, or small trips.

➡️ No heavy cleaning, no cooking required, no intensive childcare.

The schedule is flexible, usually a few hours per day, and we always discuss it together. We want this to be a positive and enjoyable experience for you and for the children.
