Description
My husband and I are retirees; he is Zambian and I am Canadian. Our retirement project is an eco-lodge, situated half-way between the city-centre of Livingstone Zambia and the world-famous Victoria Falls.
When the Covid pandemic started we left Zambia. Our lodge operations came to a halt for quite some time. However we now have a manager who is doing a good job of reviving our lodge business. It will still be a long haul and we have a lot of work to get the standards up again. Our natural swimming pool has been our "Jewel in the Crown" until Covid came, and it is now in a very bad state and totally unuseable.
We need someone who is knowledgeable about eco-pools and had experience in building them, as it needs a complete overhaul.Types of help and learning opportunities

Volunteers will learn much about Zambian customs and culture. They can also visit the many physical attractions in the Livingstone area. There is not an adequate organized public transit system in Livingstone and most people take local taxis. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to go to town, or to go the opposite direction to the Victoria Falls.
Help
We have a natural swimming pool which has been unusable since April 2020, when the Covid pandemic started. We have not been able to raise funds to fix the leaking pool, which we understand needs a complete renovation.
Meanwhile, are any of you Workawayers skilled in repairing pools, and even better, are you knowlegable about natural swimming pools?
We'd love to have someone come to Munga and help revive our pool! It is the hot season there now, and guests are looking for a way to cool off. Many of them remember fondly the pool they swam in there, before the current situation arose, with many leaks in the surrounding watergarden making the pool totally unusable.Languages spoken
