    Description

We are a nature-loving couple who are enjoying creating our own little Eden by building the biodiversity on our garden.

We live on a small plot in peri-urban Lusaka, where we raise goats and grow our own food using regenerative and agroforestry principles.

We also have a plant nursery where we grow exotic plants for sale to supplement our income.

The main project we need help for is creating educational content around sustainable gardening.

We would also greatly appreciate other practical skills which could help us catch up on some of the projects we just don't have time to complete around the house, such as building and carpentry skills to help complete our animal enclosure where we want to keep livestock. Experiencing with home renovation/decorating would be great as there are odd jobs such as organising spaces, putting up shelves or pictures that would be great to get done!

The media project we are developing will allow you to meet different groups of people and gain insights into how they practice sustainability and trying to create contextualised content there is a huge scope for learning more about language and attitudes.

We have a vision to educate people on how to live sustainably within the Zambian context, and so our focus is to use digital media to do this. We have a website, Youtube, and social media where we want to create content that promotes sustainably living in Zambia and need the help of creatives to be able to create engaging educational content.

Specifically, the skills we would love is website development, digital marketing, video filming and editing.

We are walking distance from several shopping centres with decent restaurants and are about 500m from the main road, where one can catch the local minibuses to larger shopping centres and city centers. Lusaka also has decent taxis that you can hail through the Yango app, which are also quite reasonably priced. Within a 5-kilometer radius, you can visit Munda Wanga, a nature park, Sandy's Creations resort, Lilayi Lodge, Twangale Water Park, Gladiator Gym, Cosmo Mall, and Makeni Mall. We also have community markets, such as the Lilayi Green Market, which is held monthly in our neighbourhood.

We would include our guests in some of our excursions which may be of interest.

We have a wi-fi speed of 10 Mbs which is reasonably stable for Lusaka, which is fine for working online depending on the type of work you are doing. Video uploads would take considerable time. In addition Most Zambian internet service providers have mobile options where you can carry your own connection as you travel.
