Description
The ecolodge is founded and run by Martin and his family, who live on-site and are actively involved in daily operations, welcoming guests and volunteers as part of their extended family while sharing their deep connection to the Amazon.
Ecolodges currently employs a small team of locally paid staff from nearby Amazonian communities. Our team includes local guides who lead jungle walks and river excursions, kitchen staff responsible for preparing traditional meals using local ingredients, housekeeping staff who maintain the cabins and common areas, and boat operators who ensure safe transportation on the river.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our cultural exchange begins with an adaptation period during the first two days to settle in and find your rhythm, staying in an authentic maloca, enjoying meals made from local produce, engaging in daily interactions with our local team and indigenous guides, and exploring Amazonian biodiversity, local cultures, and personal self-discovery.

Help
You will actively contribute to the daily management of the lodge, playing a hands-on role in bringing the Amazon experience to life for our guests. This includes supporting daily operations, assisting with guest and coordination, helping organize activities and logistics, and contributing to the smooth running of the ecolodge. You will work closely with the on-site team and Martin’s family, as well as with the remote team, gaining insight into sustainable lodge management, community-based tourism, and the behind-the-scenes work required to create a meaningful and immersive Amazon experience for every guest.
