  • Description

    Description

We are a small family living on Frosta for 6 years, on a beautiful small farm with great view by the fjord.
Stina, Kristian Levi 15 years and Astrid 3 years.
We have also 2 cats for now, and this season we might extend ther animal family with both chickens and sheeps.

The beautiful view towards the fjord and the mountains, the short walk to come to the sea and also all the projects we have around the house makes us love this lifestyle. Spending time together with the family and with you, creating projects answorking together to find good solutions to them is our way of creating a community now.
The children and youths are our biggest priority, and hopefully you like to be with kids too. Seeing that they are great teachers when it comes to beeing here and now, playing and also for us, the creativity.
We enjoy natural learning and want to build some playgrounds for kids with wood, water and clay/rocks, maybe a pond for the wild animals/insects and birds too.

We are in the start of creating a permaculture garden.
Implementing all the fruit trees and berry bushes that is already here, with vegetables, flowers and herbs. Also the element of water. We have also just build another green house.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are a family that have taken a step back from the busy life and have our 3 year old at home.
We practise the work of beeing here and now. Meditation, mantra and yoga is also a nice way to connect as well as coocreating in the garden and getting inspired for new project.

Kristian is a fysiotherapist, and works 4 days pr week. Stina, teaches yoga few days pr week and is home with Astrid on the farm. Levi 15 years, is half german and he travelled alot, but lived his whole life in Norway.

We travelled alot before we got this farm, and now we really enjoy that travellers can come here and be with us and share how they see life now from were they are.

    Help

We will work both together and independently, beeing with the kids, or helping out with the logistic for the day to run smoothly.
A typically working day will start with a breakfast and a meeting around 09 am. We talk/agree about todays work and also feedback and etc about the last day. Working for 2-3 hours, and than lunch. another 2-3 hours work and than free time after dinner. this can of course also vary during the season and the needs for the day. 2 days free in the weekend unless we agree on something else.

Springtime is great! The days are getting longer and we are more outside and prepare the summer season in the ways we can.
In the summertime here is gardentasks of all kinds : grass to be cut, berries to be picked, weedes and watering and other projects.
Authum is harvesting time where we also find time to look for wildberries.
You need to be flexible and we learn from eachother and take part in the daily life on the farm.
Winter is more time spend inside, helping out with the food and the kids, but also wood work.

Our place and our garden and everything we do and make here is for beeing self sufficient. We might give a nice squash to our neighbour, but we dont sell anything.
Lets coo crreate and make meaningful projects, together.
