Description
RIGHT NOW I HAVE MOST OF THE SUMMER AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO COME. General garden and house maintenance, and laying a wooden floor.
***** Please note that the feedback I have is from when I had my previous place in Tarifa, Cádiz, where I started hosting Workawayers. I have moved to Girona 1 year ago.
*****
I welcome someone (or a couple) to help with general garden tasks. I am also planning an organic vegetable garden, a wooden pergola, and perhaps a solar water heater. Currently mostly limewashing the brick outside of the house.
I have a small carpentry and welding shop at home, so it's a good chance for you to learn a little bit. I also do my own plumbing and electrical work if you are interested in learning.
Help with any of the above would be greatly appreciated. I try to respond very quickly to requests. I've been a Workawayer myself and know that it is important.
The house is a 5 minute drive from Caldes de Malavella, in a quiet residential area with forests around to take walks.
I welcome volunteers suggestions for grocery shopping and look forward to trying new recipes. In any case, you will also have your own kitchen and fridge so you can stock up and cook what you like.
Accomodation is in one of the double rooms in the house with your own bathroom. For cooking you will use the kitchen in the caravan I have in the front garden. You will generally be doing your own cooking.
I don't drink alcohol, but guests are welcome to as long as it's not during work hours and moderately outside of them.
I want to offer a space here where you feel free to offer your particular skills and where you don't worry about what you don't know.
For mutual benefit, I suggest you try it for one week and then we can both decide if the arrangement can work out for a longer period.
I look forward to hearing from you!Types of help and learning opportunities

What else ...
On your spare time, I can drive you to the train station, where you can be in Barcelona in less than an hour, Girona in 15 minutes or Figueres in 40 minutes, and to beaches also in about 30-40 minutes by train.
I also go to town almost every day, either to work or shop, so volunteers are welcome to share the ride and spend some time in the town of Caldes de Malavella, which has some Roman Thermal Baths pretty well preserved and worth touring around. The town is very relaxed and nice to walk about. For any other questions, feel free to contact me.A little more information
