    Description

Hello! We'll be happy to welcome you to our organic farm in the Cévennes National Park in southern France.

Our daily life involves grazing our herd of Roussillon red sheeps and taking care of the land. Different activities depending on the season, never a dull moment :) Planting in spring, tending to plants in summer, harvesting Cévennes' onions "doux" in September, chestnuts in October,... activities also vary based on the weather, for sure, but these are farm based and non-commercial.
In our family, we have a nine-year-old son and our 24 years old daughter who will soon leave to Montreal. It's her room that we offer to Workaway volunteers. Our parents live in a separate apartment above our house, and there are also two dogs, a cat, chickens... and wild animals like boars and foxes that sometimes pass by ;). Don't worry, the animals are friendly and stay outdoors!
We're surrounded by Mother Nature, with lots of hiking trails around. But we're not too far from amenities and local transportation. The nearest airport is in Montpellier, about 1 hour and 10 minutes from our home. And there are regular buses from Montpellier to our neighboring town, Le Vigan, just 7 km from the farm.
If you want to experience authentic rustic life on a French farm, we're happy to welcome you. But be prepared to get your hands dirty because there's always something happening, and we don't have the luxury of lazy Sundays. We can give you all the directions on what to do and where to go in the area since Julie used to work at the local tourist office.
    See you soon!
