Description
Hello there 😊
We are an Australian - Chilean couple enjoying living simple around nature in the bush near Cooktown
He have been regenerating this land and slowly building our garden, we do live in dry bush country, Eucalyptus, red dirty beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The land can be challenging at some times;
at the moment we have some young fruit trees growing and greens. Sometimes pumpkins, eggs plants, passion fruit etc. but of course depending of the season, the abundance
The garden is very important for us but we are focusing on building our home, we have started with conventional materials then we been exploring with earth building and we are definitely in love with this way to create and habit home;
so mainly we are looking for help to harvest natural materials and build with mud using different techniques on earth building depending on the project
Please be aware at times it may feel bit like a construction site because we are only in the construction stages. So please don't expect to be glamorous camping. It does get dirty and dusty but definitely grounded.
In the wet season ( January to April ) gets very WET, mosquitoes, etc. Our seasonal crocodile free creek is flowing and flushing beautiful for a swim.
During the dry season the wind pick up and things start getting a bit dry which is a good change as well.
We enjoy and appreciate nature, following the season and rhythm.
We leave in the tropics and even here we have seasons :)
It is all our responsibilities to cook and clean sharing the tasks. we love cooking and exploring new recipes, we do eat meat, but we are very flexible to vegetarian diets for moments.
We do our best to manage our rubbish. Organic matter goes in the compost for the chickens and the rest gets washed and put in containers. Please take your rubbish with you always.
We have off grid solar, compost toilet and rainwater for drink.
We spending our time learning and actively gardening, practicing yoga, art crafting, Natural building, bush foods walk, beach harvesting walks, cooking real sourdough bread,didgeridoo sound and playing music.
At the moment we both have casual jobs, we can arrange the best for everyone one depending of the project.
Looking forward to meet energetic, creative, healthy, alternative, open minded people.

We improved Rollys termite nest cooking, by using the clay of the nest and building 2 beautiful and efficient rocket stoves! This was super handy as Rolly found a lot of road kills we cooked on them.
