    About Me & My Lifestyle
First, I should introduce myself so you can better understand my background and what I offer. I am a professional British educator and dchairman of my own school, and I hold a PhD in my field. I chose the path of teaching at the young age of 12 when I was a school student myself, and I have dedicated many years to education, mentorship, and running academic institutions. I have also been fortunate enough to travel to over 80 countries, which has given me a massive appreciation for global cultures, diverse worldviews, and deep, meaningful conversations.

Having lived a highly international life, I am now based in a peaceful, secure, and modern gated residential complex in Istanbul. I live a quiet life here, away from the chaotic noise of the city center.

I am a very warm, open-minded, and progressive person. I deeply value genuine, close connections and mutual respect. I am looking to welcome independent, clean, and mature male travelers, expats, or digital nomads who enjoy sharing travel stories, discussing history or philosophy, and connecting on a true brotherly level over a relaxed cup of tea and shisha.

    My Household Standards
Because I take immense pride in my home, exceptional personal cleanliness, high hygiene, and respect for household rules are absolute prerequisites. My apartment is meticulously maintained, and it is a completely non-smoking environment indoors. If you are someone who appreciates a structured, spotless, and highly respectful environment where you can truly relax and be yourself, you will find a wonderful sanctuary here.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Staying here offers a unique, intellectual, and deeply enriching cultural exchange far beyond the typical tourist experience. As a guest, you will benefit from:

Intellectual & Global Insights: With a PhD and years of experience as a British educator and director, I love sharing insights on mentorship, education, and global perspective. Having traveled to more than 80 countries, I can share fascinating stories and deep conversations about history, world cultures, and philosophy.

A Peaceful Sanctuary: You will get to experience a calmer, more authentic side of life in Istanbul, living in a secure, modern residential complex with excellent facilities away from the chaotic, noisy tourist hubs.

Language & Lifestyle Exchange: We can practice conversational English or share other languages, exchange creative digital ideas, and unwind in the evenings with a relaxed, traditional cup of tea and shisha circle.

    What I am looking for:
I am looking for relaxed cultural exchange, high-quality companionship, and a bit of help keeping my home environment orderly.

The help requested is kept very light and relaxed, strictly limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week (usually 5 hours a day, 5 days a week), leaving you with 2 full days off and plenty of free time to explore Istanbul or focus on your own projects.

We can cooperate in the following ways:

Language & Cultural Exchange: Engaging in interesting evening discussions, sharing travel stories, and practicing conversational English or other languages over a relaxed cup of tea and shisha.

Light Household Support: Helping me ensure the apartment stays in pristine, spotless condition. This just means sharing basic daily habits like keeping the kitchen clean after a bite to eat, emptying the bin, and maintaining the high hygiene standards of the space.

Creative Brainstorming: I always welcome a casual chat about global cultures, digital tools, online trends, or sharing creative ideas from your own unique background and travels.

If you are an independent, respectful, and exceptionally clean traveler who wants a quiet, comfortable sanctuary to rest in while sharing good company, this is the perfect setup for you.

    Accommodation & What is Provided
You will be staying with me in my modern, comfortable apartment located in a secure, peaceful gated residential complex in Istanbul.

Your Space: You will have a clean, tidy private bedroom/sleeping space where you can fully relax, sleep comfortably, and have your own privacy.

Internet: I have a decent Wi-Fi connection available in the apartment, which is perfectly fine for checking emails, browsing, or light remote work (with mutual respect for bandwidth when I am conducting my online lessons).

Meals: The help requested is 25 hours a week. I provide comfortable accommodation and a fully stocked kitchen with high-quality groceries. You will have full access to the kitchen to prepare your own meals. If you enjoy cooking, you are more than welcome to prepare delicious meals for both of us to share, ensuring that the kitchen is left completely spotless and immaculate afterward. There are also excellent local markets and cafes nearby.

As a reminder, my home is a completely non-smoking environment indoors, and maintaining exceptional hygiene and absolute cleanliness in the shared spaces is a must.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Free Time, Local Sights & Transport
During your leisure time—including your afternoons and your two full days off—you will have plenty of time to explore both the modern and historic sides of Istanbul.

Getting Around (Transport): Our residential complex is very well-connected to Istanbul’s famous Metrobus system. The Metrobus runs on its own dedicated lanes 24 hours a day, completely bypassing traffic. It takes you directly from our local area straight into the heart of the city (like Mecidiyeköy, Taksim, or the historic Sultanahmet area) quickly and cheaply. Local mini-buses (dolmuş) and taxis are also right outside the complex gates.

In the Neighborhood: Right around the complex, you will find beautiful modern shopping malls (like Marmara Park), vast green parks, traditional Turkish cafes, excellent local restaurants, and vibrant markets where you can experience authentic daily life in Istanbul away from the overpriced tourist traps.

Day Trips: On your weekends off, you can easily take local ferries across the Bosporus to the Asian side of the city, visit the peaceful Princes' Islands, or take a short bus trip to explore beautiful nearby beach towns along the Marmara Sea coast.

There is an endless amount of history, culture, and food to discover here, and I am always happy to point you in the right direction!

Digital Nomads & Remote Workers: You are very welcome here! I have a decent Wi-Fi connection, but please keep in mind that I also conduct professional lessons online during the day. As long as we have a mutual understanding and respect for bandwidth usage during working hours, it works out perfectly.
