Description
We are a community for adults with special needs, their co-workers and international volunteers. Our aim is to strive for living and working together to create an atmosphere of equality and mutual respect based on anthroposophical pedagogical principles. This is done in harmony with the surrounding nature. The domain has an organic farm, providing dairy products and vegetables, as well as a community workshop house where handicrafts including carpets, candles and herbal teas are made.
Everyone is involved in the village activities (household work, stable work, handicraft community workshops, village meetings, cultural activities, etc.), resulting in a shared feeling of appreciation and interconnections.
We try to be self sustaining, producing our own food, firewood and other household tools.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Estonian culture is very lively in our village. If you are interested in learning Estonian language, there is no better place to do so! Same applies to Estonian food and outdoor culture.
You might notice very soon that living at the countryside, being surrounded by nature, is wonderful! Also you get the opportunity to engage with adults with special needs (our 'villagers' have learning difficulties). They need little care since they are already very used to this way of living. It is more about bringing new friendly faces into their lives. If you are interested in construction and farm help, we have plenty of that as well!Help
Life at our domain (we call it 'village') is characterized by seasonal work. In spring and summer a lot of time is spent outside, planting, harvesting and processing fruits, vegetables and hay. In autumn and winter time is spent cutting firewood and creating candles and carpets in the workshop house. The farm and milk kitchen run throughout the whole year.
We can always use an extra pair of hands, as well as social company and new impulses. If you have decided to join us, we will decide together what fits your interests and skills. At the same time we encourage trying out new things and stepping out of the comfort zone. We have had many volunteers over the years and are used to explain how things work around here.
Tasks could be:
- picking fruits & processing them into jams
- cooking lunch for the people working on the field (about 12 people)
- cleaning the roofs, taking off the moss
- helping with milking the cows
- processing vegetables (pickling, cutting & freezing)
- cutting firewood and stacking them into the barns
- cutting the grass & taking care of overgrowth
- organizing leisure activities in the evening (games, arts, music...)
- helping to build a carportLanguages
