Anna, Vivi and Milàn stayed with us for two weeks and we really enjoyed hosting them. We are super grateful for all the work they did, the amazing stone wall they built, the delicious meals and bread they cooked, the company and the nice moments we shared. They worked with such care and competence! Also, little Vivi brought so much joy around, we miss her little voice:) We wish you all the best and would be happy to see you again someday.

This experience was really positive , Rennet is an empathetic and sensitive person and we could taIk a lot about ourselves and share our experience and life. Her house and yard are beautiful and you will feel home and relax after work. I am grateful to had this time there, it's the kind of workaway that you would do again with pleasure :)

It was a pleasure to have Federico at our construction site helping out. He was extroverted, easy going and always ready to be helpful- always being interested to learn new things. He was proactive and did not mind getting his hands dirty. Fede was really skilled with using tools, driving the wheel loader and other day to day duties. He stayed for a few weeks but we will always be remembered for his funny stories, good mood and the Viesel-misu (special recipe). Thanks for staying with us, you are always welcome here, Fede!

April is a truly incredible person - she came to us for two weeks and we are so very grateful for the huge help and support she gave us each and every day of her stay. April is versatile and meticulous with everything she tackles and carried out each task for us with a very cheery manner. She carried out routine daily chores for the animals, feeding and cleaning the pens and fields whilst showing great love and kindness for them all. April also cleaned and painted garden furniture, strimmed weeds, cleared raised beds / vegetable patch. She also carried out multiple clerical tasks extremely efficiently including organising social media posts, designing and producing leaflets and posters and was very patient with us in her explanations of how to execute various tasks. Throughout the stay April was very easy going, clean tidy and respectful to us and our home and fitted in perfectly with our family. She was kind and loving to all our animals and worked very hard to become friends with our very shy Bella Bassett……..she succeeded ! ❤️ Huge thank you for everything you did for us April and know that you’re welcome back anytime at all. On our cattle station Efraim was always keen to learn new skills and followed instructions even if the tasks were very different from those he learnt in European farms. I will be very happy to have Efraim again!

I spent three weeks there last year during off-season. During that time I artistically designed the bar and helped Marija to reorganise stuff and prepare for the following season. Marija is very easy-going and the communication with her was smooth and we got along really well. She respected my time for privacy and that I can do my online work in between. I had a great time there and enjoyed my stay there during rainy season. I can recommend it to anyone to experience life next to the beach

What can I say about Ani's place? I had the absolute pleasure of staying here for a month in September and it was wonderful. After doing around 20 different work exchanges over the last five years I can honesty say that this was absolutely one of my favourites! Everything about it, from the work to the location to the general atmosphere of Ani's home, was amazing. First of all, Ani is without doubt one of the most conscientious, kind, and generous hosts I've ever stayed with. I always had the feeling that she cared so much about my experience - if I was doing the kind of work I wanted to be doing, if I felt comfortable and happy. Any time I had a question, Ani would just immediately stop whatever she was doing and help me. She always had the time and space. And she has such a fair and generous approach to what she expects from volunteers. The exchange felt very mutual and respectful. As for the place itself, the centre and the community it serves just felt so welcoming and wholesome. I felt at home almost from the moment I arrived, and everyone I met during my 4 week stay treated me like a friend. I'm really grateful for that. And again, I really think this just speaks to the care and devotion that Ani has put into this place over the years. It's really wonderful. Overall I can only say to anyone who's considering offering their time to this wonderful place that you absolutely shouldn't hesitate! I think this centre, and the experience that it offers, is really special. I feel very blessed and grateful that I was able to be a part of it, and I hope I can go back again some time. We stayed here at the Academy for two weeks, and we enjoyed the experience so much that we wished we could have stayed longer. It is a wonderful and very well-organized school that offers plenty of activities for the students. There are children aged between two and fifteen, with different levels of English, and they are all very polite, kind, and eager to learn. Every day, we had three to four classes, and depending on the children’s age and English level, we prepared games and activities to encourage them to speak English. It was our first experience teaching children, and we were a little nervous at first, but once we arrived, all the anxiety disappeared and we simply had fun. It was a truly beautiful experience, and we will miss the children at the Academy very much. The food they served was also delicious, healthy, and there was always plenty of it! We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who loves children and is open to spending time with them!

Henry feedback: - Kàta and Tom were absolutely amazing hosts, they are such lovely people and the stay was one of the best things I have ever done and been a part of. The countryside is absolutely stunning and the work is easy but very fulfilling. They are some of the nicest people out there, and were always willing to help us and accommodate what we needed and what we wanted to do. Everything they did for us was very much appreciated ❤️. I would absolutely recommend these beautiful people to anyone who ever asked. - Henry :) - Travis feedback: - Where can I start with this absolute gem of a place. Beautiful location, family, people, community, vibes, food, work. This has truly been a workaway like no other! From harvesting honey, making beef jerky, cooking strawberry dumplings and so much more! The work itself didn’t feel like work, it felt like helping out at home. And this has truly become a family for me and I couldn’t be more grateful for this experience. My friend Henry and I got a whole house to ourself pretty much. A warm bed, kitchen, and bathroom, in a completely seperate area. If you need alone time, you have it, but I promise you we didn’t need it, hanging out with these amazing people is such a delight. We got to make a pumkin patch and garden beds. We took care of chickens and baby chicks, looked after the kids, cleaned the house and gave eachother company. The kids themselves are so amazing, bright, and smart, loving there outdoors! The breakfasts, lunches, and dinners will certainly be missed! We spent a lot of time having laughs about our Australian accents and slang, it really really felt like a family :) And most importantly this workaway wasn’t just work, we got to go out with the family and explore nearby towns and history, seeing animals and buildings, eating ice creams and bakery goods. Most importantly I got introduced to poppy seeds, which might be my new found love! They go so well with everything, particularly mash potatoes (Skubánky!!!!) if you are looking for a family, insights into Czech culture, a rural/farm lifestyle, and adventures, these are your people!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Kateřina, Tom, Albert, Beata, Mr Roo, Orea Chicken, Yellow Neck, Ticks, Spiders, Baby Chicks, Fallen Chicks, and CHEEKY Skubánky!!! I had such a wonderful and pleasant time with this free-spirited, high-energy family! They are incredibly hardworking and active, yet they always made me feel so cared for. I loved how curious and attentive they were, and I’m so grateful for their patience in explaining Canadian culture and English terms to me. Music is truly the beautiful bond that connects everyone here. They shared so many unforgettable experiences with me, from showing me around the city centre and the park waterfall, to an amazing 3-hour canoeing adventure, and a fantastic 6-hour road trip up the Bruce Peninsula with Oma! For daily tasks, there was a great variety to do, even though pulling weeds definitely kept me the busiest! 😂 As for the kids... they are absolutely wonderful. They are so bright, independent, and confident - they too helped me find my way around. Thank you for everything!

Ariane was a pleasure to host for two weeks. She is very organised, energetic, and proactive. She helped us with childcare, homeschooling, tidying and organising. She took the children on excursions, baked with them, and taught them German. With another helper, she organised a special surprise party for the kids on the day before she left. She was generous with her time and genuinely enjoyed the children's company. Ariane is living an interesting life and was an enjoyable guest. Thank you Ariane!

Pasé alrededor de dos meses aquí y fue una experiencia increíble de principio a fin. El trabajo era flexible y autogestionado, unas cinco horas al día, cinco días a la semana. Jordi siempre confió en mí para organizar mis tareas, lo que hizo que el ambiente fuera muy relajado y agradable. El alojamiento era muy cómodo y la comida excelente. Había mucha variedad, nunca faltó nada y, además, Jordi cocina muy bien, así que cada comida era un momento para disfrutar. La relación con Jordi y con los demás voluntarios fue excelente. Disfruté mucho tanto del tiempo de trabajo como de los momentos libres, compartiendo charlas, tomando algo y jugando a las cartas. Lo que más me gustó fue el ambiente acogedor y la sensación de sentirme parte del lugar desde el primer día. Tanto Jordi, como su hija Aina, los demás voluntarios, sus amigos y las personas cercanas al proyecto me hicieron sentir siempre incluido y muy bien recibido. Además, el entorno es precioso, con vistas increíbles y muchos senderos para caminar con Trampa (la perra). Muy cerca también hay varios rincones junto al río donde se puede ir a refrescarse y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Por supuesto, no puedo dejar de mencionar a las mascotas: Trampa (la perra) y Oreo y Lúa (las dos gatas), que hicieron la experiencia todavía más especial. Sin duda, recomiendo este lugar a cualquiera que busque un ambiente cálido, buena compañía y una experiencia auténtica. Muchas gracias, Jordi, por todo el tiempo que compartimos juntos. Realmente me sentí como en casa y espero que nos volvamos a ver muy pronto.

We stayed with Mr. Man twice in one month. The first time, we were with his friend Pie. We spent two weeks on a floating platform at the lake enjoying authentic, local and very wild experiences. Here we fished, cooked traditional dishes, had the opportunity to see wild elephants up close and tried Mr. Pie's signature massage. The second time, we spent 10 days with Man and his family in his jungle village. Here we learned to make tapioca cake and planted lemon grass at Man's hill. He gave us authentic experiences, even taking us to a wedding. Together with the other volunteers, we had a small farewell party, where we had the opportunity to cook pizza (Italian style) in a wood-fired oven! Man and his family are truly special people, kind and with big hearts! We hope to see you again in the future! Thank you again for everything! Anna and Pippo

Hosting Don and Viktoria was an absolute pleasure from start to finish! They are a fantastic couple who come highly recommended to any Workaway host. From the moment they arrived, they were incredibly engaging, warm, and easy to talk to. We shared some truly lovely evenings together, filled with great conversations, and I genuinely feel like we parted as friends. Fantastic Work Ethic & Helpfulness: They were incredibly helpful with our projects and always happy to pitch in with a great attitude. They tackled tasks efficiently and weren't afraid of hard work: Viktoria did an amazing job sanding floorboards, among various other tasks, each time going that extra mile. Don teamed up with Arne to figure out the logistics of adding extra support to the floor—showing great problem-solving skills. Bonus point: On top of being great workers, Don is an amazing cook! Having him in the kitchen was one of the highlight of their stay. They were respectful, enthusiastic, and a joy to have around. I cannot recommend them enough to the Workaway community. Safe travels, guys—you are welcome back anytime!

I spent only 6 days at Marie's place. During this stay, I was alone to set up poles (hard soil under a fierce sun !) for a fence and gate in order to accomodate chickens in the future. I was hosted in a beautiful room with private shower. Magnificent view on the Pic du Midi while eating outside in the garden. Plenty of outings if you like walking up and down ! Mary is a very busy person,, between caring for her 3 1/2 year old girl and her different activities, including hosting friends of her and AirB&B hosts in a separate house.

Pierre a passé 3 semaines y site. Simple, bon travailleur, enjoué, il a aidé à créer un atmosphère de travail agréable pour tous, qui aide énormément à la réalisation des projets.

The two weeks at Jayavati and Jeremy's home flew by! These two are just wonderful! They are truly special, kind people who treat nature, people, and animals with great respect and appreciation. It was a wonderful time with the perfect mix of work, socializing, and enjoying the beautiful scenery there. I loved to stay in the cabin in the garden. Surrounded by trees, bushes, and lots of flowers, you can hear the stream babbling, the birds singing, and the bumblebees buzzing :) If you enjoy the simple life in a beautiful setting, then this is the best place to be! There was everything I needed; all the essentials were there, and the food was delicious, too. (special thanks to Jeremy for the chapati and the best salad dressing ever! :) ). The dogs are lovely and I really enjoyed being surrounded by so many of them 🥰 Since it's a little out of the way, it's important to have a car so you can explore the area on your own.Thank you so much, Jayavati and Jeremy! You gave me a wonderful experience, and I really hope we'll see each other again! ❤️

Bianca é uma jovem cheia de energia boa, saudável, simpática e sorridente. Ela tem autonomia para cuidar de si mesma e responsabilidade para realizar as tarefas. Ela tem força de vontade e garra para fazer diversos tipos de serviços. Bianca é muito sociável e dispostas a ajudar, conversar e está por perto. Sempre oferece para ajudar. Ajudou muito com nossos cães e foi paciente com nossos cães. Nossa filha gostou muito dela e até foram para aula de natação. Bianca é amigável com bebês e cães. Todos nossos amigos gostaram dela. Foi uma ótima experiência ter ela conosco. Sentimos saudades quando ela partiu, mas sabemos que amar é também deixar partir, deixar que as pessoas sejam livres para explorar outros lugares. E somos felizes em saber que ela está bem.

J’ai reçu Caroline pendant 2 semaines et son aide m’a été précieuse dans l’entretien du jardin. En effet, Caroline sait prendre des initiatives, comprend vite ce qu’il y a à faire et le fait bien. De plus elle a montré un vrai plaisir à participer à la vie de la maison, à en partager toutes les activités à tous les instants sans rien demander qui sortait de l’habituel de telle sorte que sa.compagnie était toujours agréable. Une mention spéciale pour le grand intérêt qu’elle a pour les plantes surtout sauvages qui servent de base à des soupes fleuries mémorables. Reviens quand tu veux Caroline.
