Arnaud &Lili excelentes voluntarios siempre ellos dispuestos a ayudar , nuestro lugar lo dejaron super lindo ,muy ordenados y limpios ,mi cocina la dejaron linda ,ellos son una pareja extraordinaria trabajando y como personas ,cocinan muy rico e igual aprendi con ellos palabras en ingles ,también a Diego y a mi nos dejaron unos lindos detalles elaborados por ellos mismos. Sin duda alguna 100% recomendados para que los tengas en casa de voluntarios 😃. Abrazos con cariño a los dos

Victoria y Rodrigo son personas increíbles y maravillosas, cualquier lugar del mundo sería muy afortunado de tenerlos como voluntarios. Vic y Rodri vinieron como voluntarios para la recepción y servicio en el restaurante, tarea que siempre realizaron de manera excelente, demostrando su experiencia en el servicio desde el primer día. Son encantadores, tranquilos, amables, ordenados y saben resolver problemas y conflictos, siempre los verás con una maravillosa sonrisa y paciencia. Su buen desempeño laboral, así como su aporte como personas al equipo, los llevaron a convertirse en unos gran compañeros pero más aún a una importante parte de la familia. Sumado a todo lo anterior, los dos manejan perfectamente el inglés y el español. Victoria además es instructora de Hatha Yoga y da sesiones increíbles de Reiki. Ella pudo dar clases de yoga a una base diaria en nuestro estudio de Yoga y los clientes siempre quedaron muy satisfechos y contentos con sus enseñanzas. En fin, los dos son grandes personas, tal como compañeros y como amigos. Dos individuos increíbles que se manejan con calma y amor. Fue un placer compartir con ellos y los extrañamos mucho por aca.

¡Me encantó mi estancia aquí! Desde el primer día, el personal, los estudiantes y los voluntarios te reciben con los brazos abiertos. Es un lugar de color, reciclaje, alegría, naturaleza y creatividad. Es muy divertido pasar el rato con los estudiantes y su actitud nos inspiró a todos. El personal se convierte en buenos amigos, y cuando te cuentan historias de su duro trabajo te quedas asombrado. No olvidaré las clases, los juegos, el arte, las plantaciones, los paseos, los bailes y el gran asado. ¡Y por supuesto los viajes con Mauro al vendedor de vino local, y al Mercado para probar tanta comida! Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable que puede describirse como inspiradora. Es un privilegio ver el increíble impacto positivo que tiene la fundación. El único problema es que nunca querrás marcharte. Envío un gran abrazo al personal y a los estudiantes por igual, ¡ya os echo de menos a todos!

We spent 2 weeks volunteering here. The work was 5 hours a day (either from 7:00am-12:00 pm or 12:00pm-5:00 pm), 5 days a week. I appreciated the clear expectations around the work and the firmly set working hours. For us, the work was incredibly gratifying; the dogs are simply the best. We didn't find the work to be too exhausting (though we are both quite active). I also appreciated Jessica's flexibility. After our initial 10 days of volunteering, we left to do the Santa Cruz trek independently. Afterwards, we came back and volunteered some more :). Lastly, the shelter and hotel are set in a beautiful area. The people of Acompampa are so kind and friendly (and make a delicious burger for 5 soles!). We wouldn't hesitate to return!

Chel, Kory & Nyoli have created a true sanctuary in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle. To have been lucky enough to experience their beautiful way of life, we felt fully submerged into a whole new way of living. In terms of the work, we had a variety of tasks including, cooking, cleaning, gathering medicinal herbs, making cacao and coconut milk and painting (which we especially loved). There is always stuff to do but Chel and Kory have a relaxed approach which makes the stay so much more comfortable. There are many hidden gems when doing this Workaway and we are coming away feeling like new people in the best way possible. We truly felt part of the family and we were lucky enough to meet Kory's mum. Olivia is the most amazing cook and further taught us many culinary skills. She helped us hugely whilst at the farm (thank you Olivia)!! We have to mention all the animals as we absolutely adored all of them (especially Courage the cat). If you are an animal lover this is definitely the place for you. A special place to have spent 3 weeks. Thank you so much for having us. Until next time y'all x Love Corrie & Caz

Futaba was a great help here working in the vegetable garden and helping with some DIY tasks in the Arts centre in order to start getting a room together that can accommodate a disabled artist. She was lovely to be around and thoughtful and helpful. She got on well with myself and the other "workawayers" that are here at the moment and on her final day collaborated with another 'workawayer" to make afternoon tea with homemade scones. I wish her the very best for her ongoing journey around Europe and Ireland.

I really had the best experience at the workaway! This was my first workaway experience, and it was amazing. Hassan was so kind and helpful (as were Abdoul and his other friends), the beds comfortable, and the food very tasty. The sense of community was very special, with all the music, yoga, walks, and trip to the Sahara that Hassan kindly organised. The work was also very manageable - I enjoyed making the bricks, and I had the time to do other work I needed to do on my laptop in the afternoons, which was helpful. I hope I can come visit this special place again! Et merci d'avoir pratiqué le français avec moi Hassan ;)

I'm grateful for the time spent at Helen and Ian and the dogs. Such a lovely and welcoming place to be during these few days.

We spent nice 1 month and 2 weeks here in Hürtgenwald, the time here passes slowly and peacefully which we really enjoyed. We had a small house in which we had everything we needed, so it was fun to prepare meals with local products. The work was not hard, we helped with garden things, pruning trees, general maintenance, easy tasks but ones we enjoyed doing. It’s a beautiful area, although we had rainy days it was fun to go for a walk through the forest or the small streams, having so much nature around you is very relaxing, you enjoy being away from the big cities and having starry skies at night, very pretty. But if you doubt what we enjoyed most was sharing time with R. He is a great person, you could talk for hours with him about various topics, always accompanied by a coffee, chocolate or some dish he prepared. Without a doubt, the time there was very pleasant, R. is a person who likes to share what he knows, thanks to that we met several places nearby and also friends of R. who were equally pleasant in their conversations. This was our first experience at Woraway and we can only say that we left there wanting to return soon, it was a great pleasure to be there, without a doubt we would like to return there one day to say hello to R. Céline & Natasja had such great energy from their very first message that I knew we had to make space for them in this project. When they arrived they were so quiet for the first day or two I wondered who had written the message for them. But once they got over their initial shyness there was no stopping them! Fun, flirty & fabulous these two have really left a big impression here. They've helped so much with everything from cleaning, tidying, organising and sorting (our workshop has never looked so professional) to meticulous finishing detail on a door. Céline did the most amazing artwork for our games room which I will be eternally grateful for. Natasja has a really good work ethic & will find the jobs that need doing before you need to ask her. They were always ready to get involved in whatwver games, party night, cooking session or group project that was going on. All in all a great team, lovely people and sorely missed here! The house seems so quiet now without these two. We will always cherish a small part of their cigarette ash in our eternal pot of workawayer ashes ♥️ come back soon!!!

Remy only stayed with us a few days but you can feel her lovely spirit and energy from the moment she enters your house. We really enjoyed having her and she got on really well with our children. Couldn't have hoped for a better first workaway experience. Kristin is a very nice and empathic person, she is very passionate about her dogs and is always available to give you advice. The dogs are super-nice and Kristine's instructions allow you to develop a comprehension of their different personalities, while building a relation with each of them. I'm already missing Shibbet and Chilly sleeping next to me : )

It was great having Felina and Johannes to stay. They were polite, respectful and fun and our children still talk about them now! Noah's fondest memory was building a tower to touch the ceiling with Johannes! Hope you guys had a good trip and are doing well. Love From Sophie, Tommaso, Joanie and Noah.

We an amazing weeklong stay with Alistair and Karin. They are incredibly welcoming, generous, and considerate. Karin's cooking is awesome! We enjoyed sharing travel stories and had lots of laughs around the dinner table. We worked on their epic bike park and helped with the kids mountain bike sessions. It was a pleasure to see Alistair coach the little shredders. We highly recommend staying with the Matthews and hope to see them again one day!

Mary Kate was lovely to have around. She is personable and hard working. I highly recommend her as a workawayer.

The 4 weeks with Kris and James have been some of the most memorable time spent on my travels. The unique theme of the lodge makes for some really awesome projects from building wacky furniture to decorating the themed rooms with all kinds of gismos and gadgets. James and Kris were awesome hosts with great conversation, great suggestions and meals that are out of this world. Super friendly and willing and excited to explore the surrounding area. And Taika will make sure that you're never left wanting for more play, the sweetest dog. Thank you for having me be a part of your family for 4 weeks. I really loved my time here and look forward to returning in the future.

Finally, you'll get feedback from us too. As we mentioned when we said goodbye, it was super easy for us to welcome you into our family. You were a huge enrichment for us and we thank you for all the great conversations, your support with all the different tasks. You are always very welcome! To all future hosts: Miriam is simply great!

Marc-andre was excellent to work with! a really cool, kind and outgoing person. He was 100% efficient here at the hostel and helped with everything he could. We had a great time with him as a volunteer and also as a friend. Couldn´t recommend him more :)

We had an incredible experience with Niamh’s family! Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Not only did they generously share their space with us, but they also took the time to show us around the incredible region where they live, enriching our journey in every way possible. We have learn a lot in the different jobs we have done, gardening, fixing boats, painting, renovating the house,… We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

fue una hermosa experiencia! elegi recepcion en el hostel de la playa y estuve un maravilloso mes com un equipo de voluntarios genial. Las tareas eran sencillas (check in, revisar que todo este ok en el hostel y ordenarlo) y los horarios buenos (3 dias de tarde durante 8 horas o 4 dias durante 6h) tambien de parte de la gerencia fueron todo facilidades y comprensión, tenia muchos días libres y pude cambiar en caso de necesitar alguno en especial. Sin duda repetiria y volvere a visitar siempre que pase, son gente muy buena onda los dueños y Juan. Es muy buen lugar para hacer voluntariado sin duda a pesar de dos tropiezos que vivi alli, lo recomiendo y espero que solucionen el tema del encargado para que haya un ambiente mas positivo y respetuoso sobretodo para los voluntarios, y pongan lockers en la habitacion en el futuro seria total! Un gran abrazo!
