Ilse came to look after my house and four dogs. She was a lovely positive energy and took instructions well and quickly as I had to leave the next day. She kept in regular communication and done a great job leaving the house immaculate and the dogs happy and well cared for. I welcome her back anytime xxx

Sabrina was a wonderful helper a little shy at first which she over come quickly. She is always willing to help. She looked after the small calves Checked the cows and calves daily for any health issues plus pumping water for them with a gas pump from the creek Sabrina is a good horse back rider and is knowledgeable about and with the horses. We do to lot of moving and sorting the cows and calves on horseback with she did a good job of She got on very well with the other helpers She definitely took her turn cooking and cleaning. She is an excellent safe driver which she did a lot of here going to the city that is 2 hours away and to our local town 30 minutes away Plus for recreation outings Sabrina is a great young woman so easy to have around soft spoken and always willing to help out She is certainly welcome back here anytime. We wish her the very best she was a pleasure to host

We stayed with Barbara for a total of 3 months and we couldn't have chosen a better place for our first workaway. It was quite remote but that only made us appreciate the nature and the mountains more. Despite the location, there was always something going on, either you were busy with the 7 dogs or chatting to the other great workawayers or Barbara. Of course, we also worked a few hours a day. Barbara's precise and simple instructions and guidance made it both easy to get into the work and easy to understand what she wanted. From plucking weeds to lining a large water hole with clay, everything was included, which meant that we always had very different tasks and it never got boring. For example, we also looked after the dogs every day and occasionally the horses, cooked, cleaned and worked on other exciting projects. We always had the pleasure of being together with other workawayers during our time, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We got to know lots of nice new people and were able to exchange ideas. It was always really nice and relaxed with Barbara. She's a really great person from whom you can learn and be taught a lot. She made this time so pleasant and easy for us, it was great to talk to her and she approached the whole thing with a lot of confidence. All in all, it was a wonderful time that we will always remember and would recommend to anyone. Thank you for this wonderful time, we would come back there again and again if we could. Sophia goes by Tomke, she was a great worker, showing interest in learning and hands-on experience. Tomke was very receptive to feedback and direction and good at asking for details so that she could do the tasks well. Initially her english makes her sound very blunt but this is just her eagerness to gather information she needs. Once she settled in she relaxed and is a lovely person to have helping. Tomke likes to work to a high standard and will ensure she knows what to do so she won't let you down. She always worked beyond expected hours and helped with cooking and cleaned up. I recommend Tomke as a really good workaway.

We spent Christmas in Sicily, a couple of weeks in total, it was our first workaway and we couldn't have had a better host. Doing a workaway with Silvio is a total immersion in the Italian culture. He is super kind, friendly, respectful and has a big heart. He is a very good cook, he will always have some new traditional recipe to make and teach you. The working hours are totally affordable and very flexible by Silvio, who will always be willing to teach you some new job: gardening, picking oranges, woodworking.... even piano!! The house is about 15 minutes walk from the nearest train station from where you can move around the villages near Palermo. We took advantage of the free days to move to the furthest points of the island. Without a doubt a great and beautiful experience!

I must recommend Hendo to any host looking for a kind, talented, warm, and charismatic workawayer! She came to us as a yoga teacher, offering lovely classes to our guests and always accommodating their needs and skill levels, even offering extra workout sessions for those who wanted to join. Over the course of our 5 weeks together, she became a real member of the family community, consistently keeping common areas clean and tidy, engaging with our guests in her free time, organizing extra activities, overall bringing good vibes and conversation, and perhaps her greatest achievement: organizing and hosting our "family dinner" and game night (I think she could write and host trivia quizzes professionally, honestly) :) Thank you, Hendo for your hard work, commitment to our community, hilarious sense of humor, and warm friendly vibe! We'd love to see you again <3

I hosted Poki for about six days. He was the perfect Workaway. Super capable at whatever task he was given, including fixing things & doing jobs which required getting his hands dirty. He was very easy to have live in the house. He is an easy communicator, friendly, tidy, appreciative & considerate. I recommend him very highly.

Gijs stayed 5 days with us. He is an enthusiastic, well behaved young man with great work ethics. He was not afraid to handle tough tasks and keen to learn new skills. He helped cleaning the garage and house, including the gutters. He also helped moving heavy furniture and cleaning the boat, he even caught some decent fish. Recommended.

I couldn’t speak highly enough of Lola. She stayed with us for 2 months. She lived with us in our house. She is very easy to get along with, highly reliable. responsible, self-motivated and independent. She was always ready to help, no matter what the task was. She was also always ready for the next challenge. She is very smiley and happy; a gem to have with us and we look forward to staying in touch with her and we would hope she will come back at least to visit. 💗 ~ Thank you for all your kind help Lola. We really appreciate all you have done.

I spent 3 months with Marilyn and Bruce. My first Workaway experience could not have been better. I was welcomed with open arms and felt like a part of the family from the start. Life on the farm was a dream, especially taking care of all the animals. Working with the cows on horseback was an incredible experience, and I was able to improve my riding skills. I absolutely loved it. The work on the farm was always enjoyable and I had the opportunity to learn so many things. Whether it was repairing fences, driving the truck or chopping wood, every task was fun and educational. The landscape was breathtaking, and I felt like I was recharging my energy every day. Each day brougth something new, making every moment special. I miss my time there a lot and I will definitely return. I wish the family all the best!

I enjoyed my time in Yalova so much! ❤️ Thanks to Anıl and Çağrı for welcoming me so openly, I immediately felt like part of the family. The kids, Ada and Demir are very cute and curious. They immediately invited me to play when I arrived. Wheter it was drawing, building pillow houses for the birds or running around the house, they always knew how to have fun☺️ I helped around the house with small chores and with the kids. I enjoyed a lot of freetime too, where I could explore Yalova and surroundings. Anıl gave me some great tips for that! Thanks for everything!! I hope to see you again! 🥰

I met a precious friend and a soul adelphe when I met Kevin. He is very genuine and ful of care and love. He supported me in a very complicated moment and i how him a lot.

This was my first workaway experience and I can't recommend it enough! I was helping with breakfast in the morning and some light cleaning at the end of the service, the workload was very reasonable also because it wasn't during high season. I had plenty of time to explore the surroundings and hang out with other volunteers and guests. I feel very grateful and lucky for this experience, it allowed me to discover the beautiful Cappadocia region and make meaningful connections. Yunus is very lovely and took good care of the volunteers, he cooked for us and made work fun and easy!

...better late than never! We stayed at the camp for 3.5 weeks back in November and it was a great way to get our travels in Morocco started. Loubaba and Brahim were welcoming and very easy going and gave us lots of freedom regarding the tasks. We did some painting, helped to check the guests in and out, answered questions if they had any and sometimes made breakfast for the guests as well. The rest of our hours we filled with gardening work. We were also at the farm during a school camp where we helped with the kids workshops and to look after them. This was really fun but would have been better if we spoke French! There was also amazing food during the camp. All in all it was a very relaxed time, we could mostly choose our working hours and were also able to attend yoga lessons and make use of their surfboards :) We did sleep in our own car but the worker's accommodation is a really nice room and the rest of the camp setup is also great! The only thing we were maybe missing were some more opportunities to connect with Loubaba and Brahim, maybe have a dinner together on our first night to get to know each other better or just sit down together a little more often during our stay... But hopefully next time! 😉

The first thing that I noticed when I saw the profile of Punam and Wim was that it looks very happy, bright and open. And that is exactly how I am experiencing my stay. We enjoy working, eating, talking and laughing together. And I feel so much at home on this beautiful piece of land, that I decided that my three weeks Workaway-stay isn't enough: I decided to live in the community for an undefined amount of time. Why? Because I have the feeling that I can learn and grow in this place. Besides all the practical skills Wim teaches (it's amazing to build with him), this is a place for self-development, deep conversations and open communication. If you feel like going back to basic, living close to nature and discovering community-life: this is your place. Thank you for welcoming me in the valley!

Not even two weeks, but we had a great time. Giuseppe and Cornelia are nice, friendly, kind, generous and interesting people who like workawayers a lot. Working with Giuseppe was a real pleasure. We spent most of our short stay helping in and around the warehouse where we also learned about olive oil production. We even had an olive oil tasting. Giuseppe's olive oil is delicious. He also cooks delicious food. We enjoyed eating with Giuseppe and Cornelia several times. In our free time, we walked the hills above Castel San Pietro Sabino and climbed in the area. We travel by car so it was much easier for us. We left much earlier than planned because there were more workers than we expected. We enjoyed the company of the others, but we prefer to be alone, especially now that we are preparing for this year's big adventure. We felt pretty bad about leaving so soon, but Giuseppe and Cornelia were absolutely fine with it and even told us to come back anytime if we needed or wanted to. Thank you so much! It was a pleasure to meet you.

The people at Hof Kothausen are very kind, and it’s always a pleasure to share time with them. Natalie is very sweet and attentive, always ready to help you with anything you need. There are always diverse social activities to keep you entertained throughout the week: gatherings at the Barn/bar/theater, etc :) Sauna, snow sledding, a bar made of snow, and even going to techno. I couldn’t have stayed in a better place. Danke euch.

Thank you, these two months have been very enriching for me. I had the chance to discover Switzerland and improve my English. Kacey and Jamie are two children full of love. Kacey loves princesses and horses above all, and Jamie is thrilled by his passion for Paw Patrol ! I would like to thank Roland and Maya again for welcoming me and allowing me to experience what I did in Switzerland and integrate into their family ! Now, this is no longer just two months spent in Switzerland as a volunteer in the family, but truly a family for me! An experience you won't regret living ! Thank you a thousand times !
